I know this is a tough questions but what is your 1 must do for each of your Disney vacation's and why?

Let go and let the magic come through.

I know this is probably not what you were asking for. But the magic is different for everyone. And sometimes different on every trip.

Speaking to my experiences:
Two visits ago, it was experiencing WDW one last time with our (second set) of kids, who are college age. We probably won't go again with them until they have families of their own. They were reluctant to go, did it "for Mom." And we had a GREAT trip! They found out that, while they didn't want to experience WDW like they had done "as children," it still had a lot for them to enjoy.

Last visit, it was a solo trip for me, at a time that I REALLY needed a break from the pressures of everyday life. I won't bore you with the details - but that trip became a "reset" for me, a time to regain focus on what mattered, and what didn't.

Next visit - DH and I are taking the GKs. First time ever vacationing with DGD9, who is a Disney nut. Family dynamics have made things difficult at times, but this is our chance to set memories with two children that we love very much but don't have enough opportunities to connect with. I predict great things. :tink:

The rest of each vacay is all details. Important details, but details nonetheless. What brings us back time and again is the magic.

To watch fireworks together as a family. I really don't mind if it's Wishes at MK or Illuminations at Epcot but on every trip I want to have the memories of watching the fireworks show with my daughter while she is young.

Love so much but to say one - Haunted Mansion.

Probably goes way back.
First visit was before WDW opened to Preview Center.
Second visit was Thanksgiving 1971. Not smart.
I think they predicted 10,000 and 50,000 showed up.
Within hours park ready to explode, angry people, food all gone.
My Mom was going nuts and wanted to leave.
Me being a horror, Halloween fan said I wasn't leaving until I went in Haunted Mansion.
A couple of hours in line, we were in!
Came out and most have given up and left so we stayed and "enjoyed" rest of day although a bit hungry.

Big HM (and Villains) fan ... have so much stuff even a license plate is Doom Bugy .....
Now they need to add some straight up Villains attractions!

Kiliminjaro Safari.

No matter which grandkids are with us, and no matter what their age, this is the one Animal Kingdom attraction that we never skip. (And we never skip Animal Kingdom....nor any of the other 3 parks for that matter....)

Ahh.. So tough, I have to pick 2!

1) Peter Pan's Flight. I've loved it since I was small and now going on it can bring the tears on... and I'm a 6ft 5 guy I might add! To me it's the heart of the magic, flying to Neverland in a pirate ship and then I can really absorb the rest of the park magic throughout the day.

2) Jungle Cruise - love everything about it, the humour, sense of adventure and the nerves/shock stupid Ginger can still give me if I go on in the dark. Yes.. quite recently I thought it was a real gator for a moment. And of course, the 8th wonder of the world!

I have to give one attraction for each park.
MK-Pirates
AK-Expedition Everest
HS-Fantasmic
Epcot-IllumiNations

Definetly a 3 way tie between Peter Pan Hall of Presidents and Pirates. These are the rides I remember the most as a kid :smickey:

I am a creature of habit, so I have a long list of "must do's" (both MK parades, Illuminations, Its a Small World etc etc) each trip.

But if I must pick one thing, it would be Wishes. It's just pure joy and Disney magic for me. :lovestruc

I always buy a few little items from the Japan gift shop. It has become quite the tradition over the years.

Peter Pan. The music, the theming, the story, the magical idea of never growing up up. Flying through the air....I just love it so much.

I want to have the memories of watching the fireworks show with my daughter while she is young.

Mine is asking my family their must do and then seeing their enjoyment. I am not truly that crazy for WDW as they are (my must do is the Mummy at the other park, I know, boo right?). But I LOVE treating my mom to its a small world, my dad to Sunshine Seasons and my boys to Once Upon a Toy. And from there letting them go with whatever strikes their interest and following their lead.
