I'm not real sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it if necessary.

My husband and I are planning a trip to the Caribbean in the spring, probably May. Right now, we are thinking of staying at the Young Island Resort, located on a private island just off of St Vincent, but have not been able to find a lot of info about it. We are also considering staying in Antigua.

We are looking for something secluded, informal and romantic. We are really looking forward to scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing and just relaxing the rest of the trip. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

This is one of my dream resorts. I am a former TA, and I have not been here although at one of my company sponsored education events, I did a workshop with another agent who had. This agent taught many product classes for the company and has been all over the world several times. It looks marvelous, and he said it is indeed as wonderful as it looks.

I have been to Antigua twice and stayed at Sandals Antigua both times. It is lovely, and they have a room category called a rondoval which is your own personal hut (they are in clusters of 2). Very, very lovely. Jumby Bay is also a very nice resort; it gives you the island like Young Island and the beautiful beaches of Antigua. If you go to Antigua and want to leave the resort, rent a jeep, pack a picnic lunch and drive around the island. You will find secluded beautiful beach after secluded beautiful beach.

Another lovely choice is Peter Island, a private island in the British Virgin Islands.

Feel free to PM me; I am leaving today for WDW, but I will have some access to the net.

It looks beautiful!

Have you read the reviews on TripAdvisor? Overall it looks positive :) I'm sure you'll find info about the activities by going to St. Vincent's visitor website...also go to PADI and NAUI's webpages to search for dive shops around for diving and snorkeling.

Ok, I posted a link but it didn't work. Go to www.tripadvisor.com and type in the name of your resort...it'll pop up in the results!

I love this site. I take the less positive reviews with a grain of salt, but people always have good info and sometimes candid pictures as well.

You need to go to Luxurylink.com and look for the deals they have for luxury resorts in the Caribbean-- you can usually save thousands!

My wife and I booked a vacation ti the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios. It is a 4-5 star resort with the most fabulous beach, cuisine and service. We saved $2,000 for five nights. Instead of $400/night plus food, we spent $300/including food!

I believe the Young Island resort is on there. If not that, then it's the Peter Island Resort or maybe both!

Update-- Found it! How about this deal
