I just posted above you...it was a photo/puzzle of Brad and Lauren and it was being sent to Lauran....by Shelia.

I remember the puzzle story.

It was a photo made into a puzzle of Brad and Lauren making love and Sheila is the one who made it a puzzle and sent Lauren a piece one by one....to scare her and have her fear loosing custody of Scott Jr. to Scott Sr.

Was there never one of Paul posing nude? Please tell me I didn't dream that one.

How on earth do they end up with so many people making love anyway? Wouldn't you know if someone was in the room with you? I would. :scared1:

Sorry, I don't remember a puzzle with that story...just that Lauren submitted Paul's naked photo to the magazine and it became the centerfold and he was not very happy about it and neither was Mary!! :scared1:

Maybe that is it.

I don't remember Paul as a centerfold-I'm sure Mary wasn't happy! I have 300 things to be doing, and a big assignment due Monday, but here I am searching the internet for old Y&R stories! The writers must have really liked the puzzle story, since they used it at least twice! I found this:

Katherine/Jill Feud
Katherine vs. Jill The ongoing feud between Katherine Chancellor and Jill Foster Abbott sets a record as daytime's longest rivalry. For nearly 27 years, these two women have been constantly getting in the way of the each other's happiness. Whether it's over men, money, or the custody of a child, Katherine and Jill are always in direct competition.

In the beginning, the relationship between Jill and Katherine was amiable and without problems. Jill was a struggling teenager working in the beauty salon that Kay Chancellor frequently attended. At the time, Kay was having problems with her alcoholism and her marriage and Jill proved to be a great listener. She enjoyed Jill's company so much that she hired her as her personal assistant. The move from rags to riches was a dream come true for Jill and she spent practically all her time at the Chancellor Estate. Jill had good intentions and tried to help Katherine with her failing marriage to Phillip. Katherine's incessant drinking and smoking, however, continued to drive him away.

Jill started spending more time with Phillip and the two eventually fell in love. In time, Katherine grew suspicious of Jill's involvement with Philip and in an attempt to protect her marriage, she introduced Jill to her handsome son Brock. At first, the pairing seemed to solve Kay's problem. The two supported Kay through her withdrawal and 12-step program with Alcoholics Anonymous. Jill still had feelings for Phillip however and was plagued with guilt because of her illicit affair. She knew that a relationship with Phillip was impossible and she finally resorted to marrying Brock. When Jill learned she was carrying Phillip's love child, however, the marriage ended and the affair was exposed.

With intentions of marrying Jill, Phillip flew to the Dominican Republic to get a quick divorce from Katherine. She picked him up from the airport and desperately tried to convince him not to go through with marrying Jill. When he refused, Katherine lost control of the car and drove it off a cliff. Phillip was critically injured and married Jill from his death bed. He passed away and shortly thereafter, Jill gave birth to Phillip Chancellor III.

By this time, Katherine and Jill were mortal enemies. Katherine attempted to "buy" baby Phillip for one million dollars but Jill refused. Jill attempted to sue Katherine for her fortune but lawyer Mitchell Sherman declared Jill's marriage illegal because Katherine had signed the divorce paper while intoxicated. The women continued to go at each other's throats until the next challenge presented itself in Derek Thurston.

Jill fell madly in love with handsome cosmetologist, Derek Thurston. She hoped to marry him and share in his dream to open a beauty salon called The Golden Comb. Katherine, however, was determined to come between the happy couple. She lured Derek in with her money and married him to spite Jill. Katherine grew to truly love him but eventually accepted the fact he didn't reciprocate her feelings.:lmao::rotfl:

When Katherine was committed to Fairview Sanitarium (from drugged chocolate), Jill seized the opportunity to steal back Derek. She celebrated sweet victory over Katherine when Derek proposed and they married. Katherine, however, faked her own death to escape the sanitarium and stole her husband back! Feeling outdone and tired of waiting for Derek to return, Jill turned her attention to Katherine's friend, John Abbott.

Jill started to work at Jabot Cosmetics and entered a close working relationship with John. The two eventually fell in love and tied the knot. Katherine kept a close eye on the relationship waiting for the right opportunity to meddle. Jill had an illicit affair with John's son Jack and Lindsey Wells blackmailed her with compromising photographs of the couple. Lindsey sold the negatives to Katherine who used them to destroy Jill's marriage. She sent a photo of Jack and Jill, in puzzle form, to John. When he finally pieced it all together, he suffered a stroke from the shock and divorced Jill.

The next battle the women faced was in the courtroom, where they fought for custody of Phillip III. All the sordid details of Phillip's birth and his father's death were exposed and, in the end, Katherine was awarded temporary custody without the right to adopt.

Through the years of feuding, there were only two brief moments when a truce was called. In one instance, two joined forces to dissuade Phillip from marrying Nina Webster. In a second, Jill came to Katherine's side when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Phillip eventually married and Katherine received a clean bill of health allowing them to continue doing what they did best -- hate one another.

In an effort to fool and humiliate Katherine, Jill paid a homeless man she found in the park to seduce her enemy. She gave the unknown stranger (Brian Ramalotti) the name Rex Sterling and sent him to Katherine's door. Katherine and Rex fell in love and, even when she discovered his true identity and original motives, the happy couple married. Disappointed by the outcome of her plan, Jill began to work her feminine wiles on the unsuspecting Rex. When Katherine was kidnapped and replaced by an impostor (Marge), Jill seduced Rex. When the real Katherine returned, she was horrified to learn that Jill and Rex had married.

Katherine had the marriage declared illegal and told John about Jill's involvment with Rex. Jill still loved John and hoped the two could one day reconcile. In the end, the two enemies reluctantly joined forces in order to get their respective man; Katherine remarried Rex and Jill eventually remarried John.

Although Katherine and Jill were always involved in each other's business, the next big clash concerned the ownership of the Chancellor Estate. After her second divorce from John, Jill moved back to Katherine's house. While searching in the attic, she found proof that Phillip had intended her to inherit Chancellor Estate. She immediately sued Katherine and was awarded ownership.

Under the same roof, Katherine and Jill were constantly butting heads. The tension at the estate eventually pushed Katherine over the edge. She contemplated drinking and suicide to escape her living situation. She moved out on the streets and was reunited with her granddaughter, Mackenzie, in the process. Katherine notified her son (and Mac's father) Brock and he returned to Genoa City. Most recently, Brock, Mackenzie, and Katherine have all moved back to Chancellor Estate. Half owner Jill still lives there as well, and the feud lives on.

It's hard to imagine Jill and Jack now though. They hate each other so much now!!

This is from a 1993 summary:

Sheila Carter secretly resurfaced in Genoa City, where she hid in Lauren's closet and took incriminating photos of Lauren affair with Brad Carlton. Returning to Los Angeles, Sheila developed the photos and cut them into tiny pieces, which she sent to Lauren as a puzzle, along with a note stating that someone from Lauren's past was about to re-emerge. At first, Lauren assumed Traci was responsible for the puzzle. When a presumed-dead Sheila showed up on Lauren's doorstep, claiming that she wanted to resolve their differences, Lauren was shocked.

Lauren quickly deduced that Sheila was the secret blackmailer. In anger, she also jumped to the conclusion that Molly Carter was working on this with her daughter. Lauren accepted that her marriage to Scott Grainger was hopeless and announced that she wanted a divorce. Soon after, Scott learned that he was suffering from a terminal illness. When Sheila heard of Scott's dire condition, she went to him and said she still loved him. Not long after, Scott died while on a vacation with Lauren in Catalina.

I don't remember Michael killing anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

In court for a sexual harassment suit at the beginning of 1993, Michael Baldwin shocked Chris by submitting an illicit photo of Danny with Rebecca. Michael then proceeded to suggest that Chris and Danny were experiencing marital difficulties. When Rebecca learned of Michael's dirty move, she tried to blackmail him. Instead, Michael murdered her. Eventually, Michael was found guilty of sexual harassment and censured by the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.

When Michael learned that his ex-girlfriend Hillary was out of town, he broke into her apartment and smashed a hole in the wall that was adjacent to Chris's apartment. Nina arrived unexpectedly and a gun-toting Michael bound and gagged her. When Chris arrived home, Michael tried to rape her. Fortunately, Chris was rescued by Paul, who shot and wounded Michael. Later, Chris visited Michael in jail and was startled to find him speaking incoherently. Chris accused Michael of feigning insanity to escape a long prison sentence.

Now that I read that, I remember that puzzle too!!! :rotfl2:

It's to imagine Jill and Jack now though. They hate each other!!

But they really had alot of chemistry at first. Sadly, I can still remember their first scene together! I may have it backwards, but Jack introduced himself, and Jill said "you may not believe this, but I'm Jill." I thought it was so cute (I was probably all of 12!).

Scott and Lauren with their baby Scotty were reconciled. But not long afterward, Scott developed a mysterious disease and died.
.

basically all that means is that they actors contract was up and they couldn't come up with an amount that pleased both parties LOL

it's so funny - i don't remember that jill -i only remember the current one

This was in 1977, and I wasn't quite 5, but I don't remember Paul and Danny being best friends!

When we first met Paul in his late teens, he and Danny Romalotti were waiters and best friends. Paul met Nikki Reed on beach at 17 over ice cream cones. Both were quite promiscuous, and Nikki ended up giving Paul a venereal disease. Nevertheless, Nikki and Paul have remained close friends through the years. Both were quite promiscuous, and Nikki ended up giving Paul a venereal disease. Nevertheless, Nikki and Paul have remained close friends through the years.

I remember Steve, but don't remember them ever mentioning Todd. Good to know this wasn't a rewrite.

Paul lived at home with his family which included his younger sister Patty and older brother Steve. Another then-unseen brother, Todd was praised highly by his devoutly Catholic parents for joining the priesthood. When Nikki decided to clean up her act in order to land Greg Foster, Paul had a fling with April Stevens. April got pregnant, Paul tried to talk her into having an abortion. She refused to tell her parents who the father was, and they pressured April by telling her she had a twin sister that was given up for adoption at birth because her parents couldn't handle both. April refused the abortion, and Paul turned his back on her. Paul escaped the pressure by joining the New World Commune with Nikki, which turned out to be a scam that Paul helped his reporter brother Steve and Peggy Brooks to expose. After they escaped the cult, Greg Foster fell for April but when Heather fell gravely ill, he encouraged Paul to do the right thing and marry April. They were married and they lived in a shabby apartment. Heather recovered but was a colicky baby and cried all the time. Parental responsibility proved too much for Paul and they mutually decided to divorce. April went home to live with her parents in New York City. Paul began the first step in his dectective career by finding April's twin sister Barbara Conway and reuniting her with her family.

In an effort to help him mature, Paul's police detective father, Carl, got Paul on the police force assisting with his cases. When Nikki was abducted by Rick Daros, Victor Newman came to Paul and Carl, who rescued her. Paul and fellow Officer, Andy Richards, worked under cover infiltrating the mob and were instrumental in helping the police bring down the mob boss known as Mr. Anthony. During his time with the mob, Paul became involved with Cindy Lake, a hooker "with a heart of gold," who ended up taking a bullet meant for Paul and dying in his arms. Paul and Andy left the force to become Private Detectives, with Jazz "the mobster with a heart of gold" as their operative. Their secretary Amy Lewis, was the daughter of the police captain and a singer on the side.

Once Paul began working for and getting referrals from Victor, he became more successful, moved into a posh office in Newman Towers and branched out into security systems with his new partner, another former mobster, Nathan (Kong) Hastings, and loyal secretary Lynne Bassett.

Paul's mother Mary was constantly setting him up with good wholesome girls who would give him the grand children which she so desperately wanted. This included Lynne and daughters of ladies of her church. But Paul became involved with and married the fun and fiery Lauren Fenmore, daughter of Neil Fenmore owner of Fenmore Department stores. Mary felt Lauren was too flamboyant and all wrong for Paul. Paul and Lauren were happy for quite a while until a stalker named Sean came into her life and arranged for Paul to misunderstand their relationship. Paul and Lauren divorced, but Paul ended up rescuing her from Sean who had kidnapped her and left her buried alive in San Francisco. Lauren lost their baby (which Paul didn't even know about) in the ordeal, but they were reunited. Lauren's next trick was to enter a nude photo of Paul in a contest which ended up a magazine centerfold, that made Paul decide they would not remarry, but remain friends instead.

Paul Williams fell for a mysterious and beautiful woman named Cassandra Hall. Learning that Cassandra was an interior designer, he hired her to decorate his office and his bachelor pad. During their consultation on these projects, Paul became romantically involved with her, but she was unwilling to marry him, satisfied with being just lovers. One evening, while dining at the mansion of his Client George Rawlins the wealthy owner of Ra-Tech, Paul was shocked when introduced to his young wife "Cassie" who turned out to be Cassandra, but he didn’t let on that he knew her. While George and Paul were socializing in her absence, George confided in Paul that he feared his young wife would leave him since he was impotent, and asked Paul to sire a child for them. Paul politely refused. When confronted by Paul the next day, Cassandra insisted that she loved only him and was willing to divorce George. Cassandra told George she a divorce to be with Paul, causing George to have a heart attack. Not knowing that Cassandra was the cause, Paul compassionately suggested that she wait until her older husband was fully recovered to tell him about them. During George's hospitalization his doctors informed him that he was suffering from a terminal illness. At about the same time, George found out that Paul and Cassandra were lovers. In a twisted act of revenge, George arranged to argue with Paul while Victor Newman was nearby and able to overhear them. Then George killed himself and made it look as if Paul had murdered him, and Paul was arrested. Upon hearing about George's death, Victor wisely surmised that Paul had been set up. Paul’s father, Police Detective Carl Williams was in charge of the investigation. Victor suspected that Cassandra was a lethal black widow, he successfully seduced her, and for a while, Cassandra tried to string along both Victor and Paul. Meanwhile, Cassandra was meeting a mysterious man named Adrian Hunter, promising him that she was desperate to leave Genoa City and start a new life with him. When it appeared that all hope was lost and Paul would be convicted of George's murder, Paul and his father, decided to fake Paul's suicide. Once Cassandra was convinced that Paul was dead, Paul was free to work with his father to prove his innocence. Paul and Carl followed Cassandra and her lover Adrian to Bermuda, where they tormented Cassandra with visions of Paul as a ghost. Horrified, Cassandra quickly returned home to Genoa City. Soon after, Cassandra confessed that on the night when George was murdered, she was knocked unconscious, and when she awoke, there was a gun in her hand, and her husband was dead. With Cassandra's help, Victor came up with an elaborate plan to get Adrian to return to the states so he could be arrested. Cassandra called Adrian and told him that she was being held prisoner by Victor, tied to a chair, with a gun pointed at her, with a block of melting ice rigged to fire it. When Adrian arrived to save her, Victor and Paul captured him, Carl arrested Adrian, and succeeded in exposing him as George's killer.

Paul began working on cases with lawyer Christine Blair, who was once married to his best friend Danny Romalotti. They became involved romantically as Paul and Chris' exploits took them to Vietnam to find Jack Abbot's long-lost son Keemo, in helping old folks, Margaret and Miles, fight their slumlord, and in winning decent housing for Rainbow Garden's elderly tenants.

Carl disappeared and had been gone eight years before Paul and Christine convinced Mary to have him declared legally dead. Then Mary finally accepted the attentions of Charlie Ottwell. They were getting along well, and Charlie asked her to marry him. Paul's current girlfriend Christine happend to be helped by a man working as a security guard at the Norfolk airport, and later when Paul showed her a photo of his missing father, she realized that the security guard was Carl. Without telling Paul, she returned to Norfolk and found that he was going by the name of Jim Bradley. Meanwhile "Jim" had just asked his girlfriend "Ruthie" to marry him when Airport Security tipped him that someone was asking about him. It turned out that Carl had been captured by some bad guys while working a police case, had been beaten unconscious, and left on the highway to die. He was found by a woman named Ruth Ann Perkins, who nursed him back to health, but he had amnesia. Always concerned that "Jim" had a family looking for him somewhere, Ruthie called the phone number Chris had left with Security. After speaking with Chris, she tested "Jim" and he responded to the name Carl. So they invited Christine to their home. Christine convinced "Jim" to return to Genoa City and visit the family he didn't even remember. Carl returned with Ruthie, and Paul was shocked, but much as he tried, never could remember or connect with his father who went back to Norfolk. Mary and Charlie announced their engagement. Meanwhile "Jim" felt bad and decided he needed to give it one more try. "Jim" and Ruthie arrived in time to see Paul and Mary from the back of the church on Christmas Eve which triggered a memory of the family in church when Paul was a child that scared him so he fled. Running into them at a diner later brought on another. Paul spotted his father, and privately asked his intentions as Mary and Charlie were about to get married. Jim said he didn't know, but later Paul witnessed Mary seeing "Jim" for the first time and fainting. When Mary came to Carl told her about his amnesia and Ruthie. Mary was convinced that despite his love for Ruthie, her love could bring back the past and she and Carl would be happy together again, so told Charlie the wedding was off. But try as she might, Mary could never bring back Carl's memory of them, and he later returned to Norfolk and Ruthie, where no doubt the married as planned. Charlie apparently never forgave Mary, and she was again left with her only pastime-meddling in Paul's life.

In 1993 April showed up in GC again to visit Paul's mother Mary with 13 year old Heather. April was badly bruised, supposedly from a car accident. But when Paul asked to be part of Heather's life, April refused, and said they were happy in New York City with her dentist husband Robert Lynch. Robert had adopted Heather, and she did not know that Robert was not her real father. After April returned to her family in NYC, Robert beat her, accusing her of sleeping with Paul. Paul and Chris discovered that April was a battered wife, went to New York City and got her into a support group, but could not convince her to leave Robert.

April returned to GC a year later after again being beaten by Robert over the holidays. Although April was still attracted to Paul, he gently turned her down. Concerned for Heather, whom she left behind, April returned to Robert. When he tried to keep April in line by threatening Heather, April fatally stabbed him with a letter opener, and was charged with murder. To April's relief Christine Blair and John Silva volunteered to represent her in court. Christine and Silva's dynamic representation won April a suspended sentence due to self-defense. After being reunited with Heather, April told Paul she wanted to begin a new life away from Genoa City. April and Heather returned to New York, much to Paul and Mary's disappointment. They went to live with her sister Barbara who was rich and ended up financing Heather's education at a college in New York where her room mate Macy was murdered - the same college where Professor Adrian Korbel taught, and Korbel has admitted he turned in a fellow professor for having an affair with Macy.

On Chris and Paul's wedding day, Phyllis Romalotti, convinced that Chris stood in the way of her and Danny reuniting, ran them down with a car, leaving Paul impotent. Once Paul recovered, the postponed wedding still almost never happened after Paul walked in on Chris and Danny's sexual encounter. Chris managed to choose between them, and married Paul. Paul and Chris agreed they both wanted children but had trouble conceiving once they finally put her career aside long enough to try. The cocky and very successful attorney Michael Baldwin who was once put in prison for kidnapping Christine, somehow convinced her to join him in starting a Law practice together. The practice was so successful that she again put having a family on hold, causing a great rift in her marriage. In a desperate attempt to mend their marriage while still furthering her career, Christine took a case in Hong Kong which would mean moving there for months. Paul first balked at the idea, then decided to "do it for them", put HIS career on hold and move. But at the last minute, Paul backed out, so Christine lived in Hong Kong for months on her own with very little contact. Christine was offered a case in Australia when the Hong Kong case was finished, but she turned it down and was determined to go home to Genoa City and try to mend her shattered marriage. She arrived at the apartment only to find Paul in the arms of his new client Isabella. Without a word to Paul, she accepted the case in Australia and filed for divorce.

Isabella didn't want to tell Paul that she was pregnant because she felt that he was too hung up on Chris, so she had a brief affair with Michael and told him that he was the father. Michael was outraged at first, even drew up legal papers for her to sign. But Isabella has something on Michael from the past, so he backed down and went along with her demands of rent, baby furniture, and everything she needed to live until the baby was born. Michael also arranged for a job for her in another town for afterward. Just as Michael was softening to the idea of a child and a future with Isabella, and Paul was getting involved with former wife Lauren Fenmore, Paul found out about the baby's paternity and wanted to be a father to the child. With this major lie Isabella fell out of grace with both Michael and Mary.

Paul moved in with Isabella and continued to use her manipulating ways to keep him under her thumb as tightly as possible. Paul's mother, Mary, went to great lengths to try to convince him that Isabella was all wrong for him and will ruin his life, and to convince Isabella to go away to a home for unwed mothers. All despite the fact that Isabella was about to provide Mary with the grandchild and Paul with the child, they both have always wanted. Mary even begged for help from unlikely sources in Lauren, Christine, and even Michael - all of whom she disapproved of as well, but had had no luck at all. But Paul moved out on his own volition when Isabella started pressuring him to get married. Their baby boy, Ricardo Carl Williams, was born, but unlike Isabella's delusions, Paul was not willing to become one happy family with her. Complicating things was the sudden return of Christine, who rebuffed him for the baby's sake, although she still had feelings for him. Paul's response was to marry and move in with Isabella.

Christine spent long hours working with Michael Baldwin and they became closer, sharing dinners and their feelings together. They finally broached the subject of their past, and although Chris agreed Michael was a changed man, it still haunted her. That and her still lingering feelings for Paul made it rough on Michael. But Christine decided to put the past behind her and accepted Michael's marriage proposal. Paul invited Isabella's estranged father Ricardo to Ricky's Christening, and they happily reunited. Michael showed up, asked Ricardo not to mention they knew each other or Isabella's past, then announced his engagement to Chris, much to Paul's rage! Paul attacked Michael, who left with a black eye. Paul showed up at Chris's apartment and forced himself on her. At one point she reciprocated, cut to commercial, then we see Paul leaving a devastated-looking Christine, saying he was sorry about everything. Was it rape? (She never said No - just 'We shouldn't'.) Or was it two people who love each other, but have screwed up their lives to the point where they cannot be together? Later Chris disappeared, leaving both Michael and Paul wondering. Chris was gone for months when the guilt got to Paul, and he told Isabella that he and Chris had sex that night. Isabella left him, only returning occasionally to see Ricky.

Chris returned in disguise as the dark-haired mysterious Kelly Simmons, bent on getting the goods on Isabella. Paul saw through Chris' disguise, and they came to an understanding about the "rape", but Paul chose Isabella and his son. Paul took Ricky to Isabella's parents in Los Angeles, leaving her to finish packing for their move there. Just before they were to be married, Michael confessed to Chris that he set up Isabella to meet Paul so she and Paul would split for good, then Michael could have Chris. Chris exploded, walked out on Michael, and flew to LA to tell Paul the whole story. She found Paul camping on a beach, told him the truth, and they ended up making love in the sand. Upon their return to Genoa City, Paul moved back into their former apartment with Chris, while Isabella plotted revenge

One night Isabella called her only friend Diane Jenkins who was with Michael, told them someone was breaking in, then screamed. When Michael arrived he found what appeared to be a bloody murder scene and Isabella missing. Christine woke up unconscious in her car in the woods and told Michael and Paul of her only memory - Isabella screaming not to hurt her, of blood, and a boat. Michael tracked down the boat, which was covered in blood, and destroyed the evidence against Chris. The night before Chris was to be arrested for Isabella's murder, she was attacked in her bathtub by a very much alive Isabella who had drugged her wine, telling her how she had set her up, while wielding a butcher knife. Paul arrived in the nick of time, but was slugged and knocked out. As he was reviving the nearly drowned Christine, Michael arrived and saved them both from the crazed Isabella. The cops arrived and hauled Isabella away. She was committed to a mental hospital, and Paul and Chris were free to be together once again. Paul moved in with Christine, and soon proposed. Christine laughed, didn't take it seriously, so Paul moved out. Paul began seeing his ex-wife Lauren Fenmore, but she ended up becoming lovers with Paul's nemesis, Michael Baldwin.

Paul lost his lease and took Christine up on her offer to join the law firm of Baldwin & Blair as their investigator. Awaiting renovation of an office, he officed with Christine. JT Hellstrom began working for him as an operative learning the ropes. Paul occasionally dated Ashley Abbott. His lbig case involved saving Bobby Marcino from the Mob. (See Bobby Marcino profile.) Another of his big cases was working with Christine to try to prove Daniel Romalotti innocent of the vehicular manslaughter of Cassie Newman. He also rescued Lauren Fenmore from her kidnapping in 2005 (See Lauren Fenmore profile).

In 2006 Victor hired Paul Williams Investigations to check on new son-in-law Brad's past, though after Victor sustained his head injury which changed his perspective on things, he asked Paul to drop the case. But after they discovered in Cleveland from a high school annual photo, that this person was not the real Brad Carlton, JT became concerned for Brad's daughter Colleen, and stayed on the case. Colleen found out about it, and encouraged the investigation. With the help of Paul's Cleveland PI contact Kara, clues uncovered showed that the Kaplan family, including their 15 year old daughter Stephanie was murdered, and 18 year old son George was sought for questioning. Three months later George's body had been found Presumed the victim of a hit and run, the police thought they had the murderer, and at the same time Brad Carlton joined the Navy Seals.

Victoria confronted Sharon about kissing Brad, then fired her from Newman. Sharon went running to Brad who sent her on a mysterious errand to deliver a red tote bag to a car downtown for him. Brad's daughter Colleen confronted him with what she knew about his mysterious past, and accused him of kidnapping JT. Brad explained his past to Colleen, then hustled her and Abby off to the private jet where they met his mother Rebecca, and were jetted to safety in Hawaii. Meanwhile Sharon arrived at Brad's to find the door ajar, and being mistaken for Brad's wife, was kidnapped and held captive with JT in Cleveland. Brad received a call from the kidnapper telling him they had Sharon. Victoria and Brad went back to Newman, and brought Nick and Paul in on the case. Nikki volunteered to take Noah away on a mini-vacation to see her sister Casey to keep him safe and oblivious to the fact that his mother was missing. Brad had to explain to all his past as George Kaplan and that the kidnappers wanted an artifact called the Grudgeon Reliquary. Then JT was dumped on Brad's doorstep as a warning. After they wasted days trying to track down the Reliquary on the Internet and through art dealers, Victoria decided to create a fake using two other similar Grudgeon pieces. They took the fake to Cleveland and Nick met the kidnapper and his henchman for the exchange at a church. Meanwhile, misled by the kidnappers, Brad, Paul and JT were converging on the shipping crate where Sharon had been held which was ****y-trapped with explosives. They disarmed it in time, then arrived just in time to rescue Nick & Sharon as explosives attached to Sharon were about to detonate. Brad ended up fighting with the bad guys, and killed them both after the head guy admitted he was the Oscar Volkmann, son of the Commandant who was executed after Brad's mother's testimony. All arrived safely back in GC and vowed to never tell what went on for everyone's safety. ut more recently Brad and Victoria told Victor and Nikki, and Nick told Phyllis. Victor has now become determined to find the Grudgeon Reliquary in an attempt to help.

Paul Williams managed to track Sheila to Argentina in October 2006 and discovered that she had undergone plastic surgery to look like Phyllis Summers, then had killed the plastic surgeon. Paul, later in October, discovered her buying baby things in Genoa City, and followed her to a warehouse where he trapped her in the cell she had constructed with the intention of imprisoning Lauren and stealing her baby Fen. He made her pose for a death photo at gunpoint and made up DNA samples to convince Lauren and Michael that she was killed when struck by a car in Argentina. Paul also let Phyllis and Nick know. Paul kept her imprisoned there undetected until December when Michael put a tracking bug on Paul's car and caught Paul bringing her food. Michael picked the lock and was shocked to discover "Phyllis" behind the bars. Paul appeared and tried to convince Michael that it was really Sheila, but it took a cell phone call to the real Phyllis to convince him. Knowing the authorities can never keep her contained, Paul and Michael shared a secret and the dilemma of what to do with her. Meanwhile Lauren and the real Phyllis were bonding through their pregnancies as she helped Lauren get through her post partum depression and anxiety attacks.

Detective Maggie Sullivan and Paul Williams began dating, and in her curiosity about Paul's frequent absence "on a stakeout" she tracked him by his cell phone to the warehouse. Sheila conned her into believing she was Phyllis, Maggie let her loose, then Sheila shot her with her own gun. Paul arrived later and was trapped in the cell too by Sheila when he came to Maggie's aid. Sheila then went to Phyllis's, tied her up and waiting for Lauren and baby Fen to arrive, taunting Phyllis about how great it would be to take over her life with her hot husband and new baby. After Lauren arrived she was tied up, and Sheila took Phyllis and babies Fen and Summer to a retirement home where she had an apartment. Michael eventually rescued Paul and a near-death Maggie from the warehouse cell, and they rescued Lauren. While Michael and Paul followed Sheila's walkie talkie signal which she planted to lure them elsewhere, Nick and Lauren with the aid of Kevin enhanced the background noise from her latest taunting call. Nick realized where they were and while they tried to find Paul, Lauren snuck out with the gun Paul had given her for security. Lauren found the apartment, broke in, and confronted the two Phyllises. Phyllis managed to convince Lauren she was the real one, and Lauren shot Sheila dead! Her dying words still taunting Lauren that she would never be rid of her and she had shot the wrong one, lead us to believe that this may have yet been another pawn of Sheila and she may still be out there and a threat. Phyllis was livid with Michael and Lauren for endangering her and her baby Summer, but they eventually reconciled. Maggie recovered from her gunshot wound and did not tell the police about Paul or Michael holding Sheila in that cell, so they were not charged.

Paul and Maggie continued to be involved, and Maggie underwent quite a transformation from her usual "plain Jane" cop persona into a very attractive woman. She and Paul had great chemistry, and was a welcome addition to Genoa City and Paul's life. They became involved in the investigation of the Glo By Jabot tainted face cream scandal, the murder of Ji Min Kim, and were suspicious of the death of DA Will Bardwell. But Maggie disappeared from the show with no explanation.

In 2007, Paul was shocked to meet Heather who showed up in GC as the new Assistant DA. After months of becoming close friends, he pondered whether or not to tell her he is her father, and he finally decided to do it. Heather reacted with resentment, but she is mellowing toward him since her mother April paid them a visit.

Concerned for his friend, Nikki, and suspicious of David Chow due to bad credit having 2 prior deceased rich wives, Paul began an investigation into David's past. He tracked down his last rich wife "Bitsy" in Bermuda to where she escaped in fear of David and divorced him. Bitsy told Paul that they met as colleagues at Granville Global, and prior to that David was in politics. Bitsy claimed that David got away with the death of his first wife Janelle by cheating on her, causing her to commit suicide, and the death of his second wife Angela by tampering with her brakes to cause her fatal accident. Bitsy then began ranting about aliens, so Paul cut short the interview, but he believed her claims about David might be true. Paul next tracked down Mina King, the sister of David's deceased wife Janelle who claimed that David cut the brakes of her sister's car causing the accident! David was tipped anonymously that Paul was investigating him, so went to Nikki first with his side of the story. David said he met his first wife Janelle in college, that she was always on the go, on a mission of some sort. She became paranoid, then could not sleep, would not go for therapy, and ended up over-dosing on sleeping pills. His 2nd wife Angela was very athletic, flew a plane, and was very volatile. After one of their many fights, she drove her sports car into a telephone pole and was killed. He admitted that he gambled away his inheritance from each of them. He said her daughter Mina was a cocaine addict and accused of murder David because Angela had cut her out of the will. David claimed his 3rd wife Bitsy was paranoid too, accused him of leaking Granville Global company secrets and having affairs. When she refused to get help, they separated, which is when he had the affair with Carmen Mesta. When Bitsy found out, she accused him of murdering his wives for their money and became delusional, so he divorced her. Nikki appeared to believe David, and asked Paul to stop investigating him. Paul said he would, but did not. While Nikki started doing her own research on David on the Internet, Brad continued to lend David money and give him bad gambling tips, and David contacted his bookie and lost even more money, to the point where he has pawned the watch that Nikki gave him as a wedding present. After a particularly good winning streak, David bought Nikki a horse, Athena, as a gift and Nikki was thrilled. But that only fed David's addiction and he was sorely tempted by an ad for a gambling tournament in Las Vegas. Just as Sabrina was walking down the aisle to marry Victor, Nikki, at the stables with her new horse, received a devastating phone call from David telling her that he could no longer deceive her about his gambling and that he wanted a divorce. But the next day David appeared begging Nikki to give him another chance. On returning from their honeymoon, Victor ran into Nikki and could see she was upset, but Victor left when Paul interrupted, and Paul comforted Nikki. Meanwhile David, on a business trip to Hollywood, cut it short to gamble in Vegas - where he was spotted by Gloria losing big at the roulette table. Gloria conveniently let it slip to Nikki before David got home, so David confessed and asked Nikki for a divorce "to save her from him" but she refused to give up on him thinking they could work it out together. Paul discovered that David was hiding his gambling from her and his real name was Angelo Seraffini, and he worked for mobster Walter Palin, A/K/A Anthony “Tony” Amato, doing coverup and possibly a hitman. Nikki told David she would no long be made a fool of. David pleaded that he'd had an alcoholic mother and deadbeat father, how he'd had run-ins with the law since he was 11, got into organized crime, petty stuff like breaking and entering and shoplifting, how he had to reinvent himself to overcome his reputation, and was going straight now, but Nikki was adamant that they would divorce right after the charity ball.

Paul has been there for Nikki all through her ordeal with David and following his death. Victor left guests waiting at Sabrina's funeral only to have the minister tell them that the funeral a private funeral had been held earlier and her body was already interred. Victor disappeared, leaving his cell phone, wallet and epilepsy medication buried on Sabrina's grave. Adam in his concern, decided to change his name to Victor Newman Jr. Meanwhile in Victor’s absence, the stockholders at Newman voted Victoria back in as CoCEO, and because the ranch was part of Newman Enterprises, she took it upon herself to kick Adam out.

Paul traced Victor to Bucerias, Mexico, where he had been hanging out in a cantina awaiting the arrival of Walter Palin, AKA mobster Tony Amato, the man he held responsible for Sabrina's death. Paul and Nikki went there to find Victor, but Paul had to return when his daughter Heather had a medical emergency. Nikki went off the wagon in her grief after the authorities told her that Victor had been declared dead when his fishing boat broke up in a storm. Later a body washed up onshore, but Nikki did not let on that she recognized him as Walter.

A drunken Nikki called Katherine and told her that Victor was dead. Kay tried to keep her on the line while she got Nick on the line. Adam reacted to the news by getting the Mexican government to FAX a death certificate. Michael took charge, and read the will giving Adam Newman Enterprises and the ranch. Nick was given the Restless Style building free and clear, and Victoria the Newman art collection. Abby and grandchildren Noah and Summer and any future grandchildren were given a percentage of the estate. Letters written to his children were later read in private. Victor wrote to Nick that he was a disappointment, but that he was hard on him to make him tough. He apologized for not being a good father, saying he was proud of Nick, the best father his kids could hope for. Victor wrote to Adam that he was most like himself and encouraged him to make him proud but to be generous to his brother and sister. To Victoria he wrote of love and adoration, that she was all the best parts of Victor. Adam threw away his letter, had Heather move in with him at the ranch, declared himself Victor Newman Jr., took charge at Newman by firing Neil, and hiring Brad.

Nikki, still in Mexico, walked the beach pitifully wailing for Victor, and collapsing in the sand. When she looked up, there he was, alive and very upset with her for being there. He told her to go home, that he wanted the world to think he was dead. In response to her declaration that she still loved him, he replied that he wished one of them had the guts to kill the other to put them out or their misery. Nikki returned to Genoa City. Not long afterward Victor returned and Michael let him know what had happened in his absence. Victor summoned his children and Neil to the ranch. First he fired Adam and made Neil Chairman of the Board of Newman, then told Adam to live elsewhere and his things would be sent to him. Neil later asked Victoria to return to Newman as CEO. Nick and Victoria were thrilled to see their father alive, but although he forgave them for their treatment of Sabrina and thanked them for their actions when they thought he was dead, he was still cold to them and asked them to leave him in his seclusion to heal. Then Victor got Zapato from the kennel where Adam had banished him, fired all the help, made a nation-wide statement to leave him alone, and hired security guards to keep everyone away. Even Nikki had to bash in a window to try to talk to him. Adam was roughed up by the guards and taken off to jail trying to see him. He did allow old friend Katherine in, heard her out, then asked her to leave. After weeks of Victor being a recluse at the ranch, Nick heard music coming from Sabrina’s art gallery and found Victor there passed out due dehydration. The family was turned away at the hospital by a surly Victor, and they were about to have him committed for his own safety, but he managed to disappear, and was last seen flying away on the Newman jet.

Victor returned to Genoa City on the arm of Ashley to attend Katherine Chancellor's funeral (who was not really dead, it was her doppelganger, Marge). They sat in the front row and shunned everyone, then afterward quickly left in a waiting limo. Once Heather found out, Victor was arrested for the murder of Walter Palin and confronted with the diary he supposedly wrote about the murder. Jack has been questioned by the FBI about his involvement with the diary, and only admits that he hooked Adam up with the publisher. Victor finally allowed Nikki to visit him in jail, only to accuse her of setting him up by being involved in the bogus diary of how he killed Walter. Nikki FINALLY had enough and told Victor to go to hell! She went to Paul's for solace and they ended up between the sheets.

Paul is currently working with Michael investigating the validity of the claim that the woman known as Marge Catrooke is really the deceased Katherine Chancellor. Since Nikki is still grieving the death of her best friend Katherine, she is adamantly opposed to anything but proving that she is an imposter.

Shortly after Jeff visited Gloria in jail to tell her he was divorcing her again, Michael arrived with some good news. Paul investigated Andrew Gibson, discovering that Emma had a child by a former husband who was institutionalized with anaphylactic shock from a severe food allergy. Emma’s tests were compared with the son finding 6 points of correlation, proving Gloria innocent of causing her death. Although the judge was appalled at Gloria’s product tampering, he had to set her free of charges in the death of Emma Gibson.

First seen in Victor Newman’s office without exposing her face, Mary Jane Benson accepted his proposition to have plastic surgery to infiltrate Jabot Cosmetics as a part of Victor’s plot for revenge against Jack. Mary Jane apparently knew Jack years before and wanted some revenge of her own without being recognized. She presented a good case for why Jack should hire her to restore his tarnished image, and was hired. But once Jill regained control of Jabot, she fired the Abbotts and Mary Jane, but she lost Jabot when Katherine was declared alive. With Mary Jane's help and the information supplied to her by Victor, Jack convinced Kay to rehire him as CEO of Jabot and Mary Jane as head of PR, also to restore Ashley and Billy to their Jabot positions. Mary Jane seduced Jack, and Jack is falling for her. While attending Katherine and Murphy's wedding with Jack, she met Paul Williams who found something familiar about her. Nikki caught Kay's bouquet, and it wasn't long before Paul proposed and they became engaged. Nikki made sure to tell Victor in person. He was OK with it, saying Paul was an all-right fellow, but later told his children that he thought she was jumping into it because Victor was happy with Ashley.

Mary Jane appears to have some mental problems, confiding in a stuffed "Kitty", and building a scrapbook of those who have wronged her. After several evasive meetings, Paul ordered a background check on her. Then after Mary Jane spotted Paul and Nikki talking with Paul's brother Father Todd, she ran to Victor in a panic for support. Victor paid her off and terminated her services. After Paul confronted Mary Jane with the knowledge that she was going by an alias, she reported him to the police for stalking, and slapped a restraining order on him. Victor talked Mary Jane into dropping the restraining order, then she had a hallucination of a confrontation with Paul and their shared past.

Nina has returned to Genoa City to make a screenplay out of Katherine's book of memoirs, and with the help of Paul, is investigating Cane's story of being switched at birth with Phillip III. Paul found out that Violet was in a hospital in Arizona at the time of the baby switch, so that part of Cane's story is a lie. Nina is anxious to identify her son's father to find out if he had the gene to confirm or rule out her son's possible diagnosis of Huntington's disease. When she called the lab to get the remains from the prior exhumation re-examined, she was told they had no remains, nor any record of it at all in their files. So she is having the body exhumed again.

here's a clip of john and jill in the hospital after john sufferes a stroke when he finds out about jill and jack

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_dp7vHczfA

That's the original Jill that I remember well. She's the one that was a Foster and worked in the salon. Although I love the current Jill, I still miss the original Jill as seen in the video. She came back to the show briefly but then left again.

I believe there was at least one other (brief) Jill.

All the Jills:

Brenda Dickson (1973 to February 1, 1980; June 24, 1983 to March 18, 1987)
Bond Gideon (1980)
Deborah Adair (1980 to 1983)
Melinda Fee (1984)
Jess Walton (June 1987 to present)
Judith Chapman (Replacement when Walton was sick for a few days.)

Does anyone remember Gloria playing Jill! I don't remember her?

I loved Brenda Dickson. One of my earliest Y&R memories is when she was with Mr. Brooks, and he fell out. She had to give him a tracheotomy (sp) in the den, and someone???? walked in and thought she was killing him?????

But I also love Jess Walton. Did any of you watch Capitol? I think her name was Kelly on there?
