This is from one of the soap mags!
Despite knowing Nick slept with Sharon, Phyllis decides to fight for her man this week -- but not in her usual, crazed way. Michelle Stafford explains Phyllis' uncharacteristic plan to save her marriage.
WEEKLY: Phyllis is not going to run Sharon down with a car or anything like that, is she?
STAFFORD: No. She decides she's going to change her operating base. She's like, "I'm going to be really nice and accommodating, because freaking out and creating havoc and situations with Brad didn't work. So I'm going to do a 180." In the beginning, you don't know if she's a wackadoo or if she's really being nice -- because it's all out of character.
WEEKLY: Phyllis starts out by apologizing to Sharon for not being more vigilant with Noah the night of the storm. Right?
STAFFORD: Yes. Does she really mean what she's aying? Maybe. Maybe not. That's up to viewers; they will come to their own conclusions. Sharon has been after her husband since they've been together, and always plays the victim in Phyllis eyes. But Phyllis is trying to appear to like Sharon because that's going to work in her favor. This is what she's doing to fight for her marriage. It's what we all do, right?
WEEKLY: Nick and Sharon realize Phyllis knows what happened between them at the cabin. Are they shocked by her new attitude?
STAFFORD: They're both like, "If she knows we slept together, why is she acting like this?"
WEEKLY: Does Nick confront her?
STAFFORD: No. He just goes with it. Why would you rock the boat? He's in no position.
WEEKLY: Later, Phyllis breaks down and tells Michael that Nick slept with Sharon. Does she share her plan, too?
STAFFORD: It's just sad. Phyllis is very upset. She can't believe this has happened to her. She says, "This is what I've got to do." Her hands are tied. Phyllis has a child with Nick. You just don't walk away when you have a child with someone. There's more at stake. Many women whose husbands screw around on them don't walk away. Phyllis is just trying to change her tactic, because she other tactics didn't work.
WEEKLY: When Nick, Sharon and Phyllis meet to discuss Noah and Eden, Phyllis puts that new tactic into motion. What does she do?
STAFFORD: She tells Nick if he wants to talk to Sharon alone, she'll go upstairs. It's no problem. No big deal.
WEEKLY: So she's being the most understanding wife in the world?
STAFFORD: Like crazy understanding. I think alot of women are going to go, "What in the world are you doing?"
WEEKLY: When Noah tells his parents he'd be dead if Brad wasn't at the lake the night of his accident, Sharon can't bear to hear it and heads outside for air, where Phyllis ends up consoling her.
STAFFORD: Phyllis and Sharon chat. It's very real. Phyllis has a heart. That's what she's going with. How would she feel in the situation
WEEKLY: Does Phyllis really feel this new "kill them with kindness" attitude can work, or is she acting out of desperation?
STAFFORD: She thinks this can work and she's acting out of desperation. She's scrambling over what to do in a horrible situation. It's not really about holding onto her man. This is her life. She doesn't want her life to fall apart. Phyllis is in love with Nick, and she believes Nick is in love with her. It's not like he's NOT in love with her. Phyllis feels this is just a bump in the road, and they can get through it.
