You would not believe!

Our friends went to Epcot on Friday the 25th of April (last Friday) for the first time. They are not Disney crazy, but they said they went through the entire park in one day! Can you believe that? They said the only thing they didn't see is the Living Sea. My kids can spend a minimum of 2 hours at Innovations West! Not to mention all the other games they offer after Mission Space, Figment, ect.

Before she left I told her she needed two days there at least, she thought I was crazy when she came home

Glad to hear they weren't overwhelmed by the crowds. That was my first thought. We too can "tour" Epcot in a day. At least to see the things that hold our interest. I think it's all in different taste.

I could spend two full days at Epcot, DH would be fine with a half day. He could spend three fulls days at MK....gosh, I guess I can too!

We went for the first time last summer and split with the ILS. When we met up later they said they had done World Showcase in an hour. I cant even walk around it in an hour.........let alone tour it.

We usually do EPCOT in 1 day too! We start in the morning with TT & a couple other rides and lunch. Then to the WS for 3-4 hours and dinner...Then back to FW for the remainder and to watch the Fireworks.

In the days before park hoppers, we did EPCOT in one day!!!! OH MAN! I remember collapsing on the hotel bed and not being able to move when we got back! That was in 91 and 92 and we stayed off property. It is a lot of work to see everything there, but we know from past, it can be done! (My legs ache just thinking about it!)

Glad they enjoyed it. I haven't been to WDW yet but we're thinking we'll schedule 2 days for Epcot as it sounds great for boys my age - 8 and 11.

I don't get that kinda thinking. When I originally priced a holiday to WDW through our local travel agent I got really sick of her saying "oh I've been there, you only *NEED* 5 days for the theme parks" and "you only *NEED* one day for Epcot" and "you only *NEED*....... [fill in the blank]" - what's with the obsession some folk have with what you only *NEED*? Ok, I'm a novice, I don't know what I'm talking about yet - lol!! But what if we *WANT* to do 2 days at Epcot and what if we *WANT* to do 3 days at Magic Kingdom, what's the crime? It seems there are some folk obsessed with doing it all in the minimum time possible like it's something to get over and done with. She suggested we do 5 days total and then spend 7 days at the beach. I kept telling her we're travelling across the world to go to WALT DISNEY WORLD, not the beach, but she was having none of it. Needless to say, I quickly disregarded her advice and we're doing it our own way!

I think it all depends on the person. Last year, we saw all we wanted to see at Epcot in one day. However, it took us 3 visits to see all that we wanted to see in Magic Kingdom. Also, we had low crowds on the day we went to Epcot.

We've had so many people ask us, 'how can you possibly spend so much time at Epcot?' (We spend at least three days there .... mostly it is a couple full days and then several later evenings til park close.) Well, my entire family is soooo into Epcot. It is by far our favorite park to just 'be' in. We do everything...like all the 'rides' and the like. But here's the thing. We sat by the fountain in 'France' for an hour enjoying the atmosphere with a great cup of coffee and dessert. We moved over to UK and enjoyed the 'Beatles' act and hung out for a good hour there. We like just being in that park. We like the fountains synchronized to music - we stop and enjoy them every time we are there. We have kids and our kids like Epcot best. And we are a family that LOVES thrill rides, so it isn't that....

Well this definately goes to show people are different. We love Epcot also and can do MK in 3/4 of a day.

Momof6...Our family is similar to yours. We love to soak in the atmosphere at Epcot. We love to watch the fountain also. I think it amazes me what they can do with water!

Viva le difference! Firstly, I am so glad to hear that people there last week didn't get overwhelmed.

Me and my family usually do Epcot in two half-days. One half-day we do Future World. The other half-day we do WS (and ride FW biggies while Illuminations is going on). We could spend a week in MK, but feel as though that would make us wierd.

Epcot is our favorite park. We just like being there. We want to see and do it all at Epcot! On our last trip we would go over there every chance we got. Our next trip I want to plan on at 2-2.5 days there. MK we like 2-2.5 days, AK we could do without, and MGM we like 1 day.

If crowds are light, I can tour the parks in 1 day each. I don't go on every ride (some don't interest me), I never eat at sit-down restaurants and I walk pretty fast. However, I like to spend more time in the parks so I'm not rushing around. But it is very possible to be happy spending 1 day in Epcot.

I would love to spend a week at Epcot. I think if I could only go to one park, I'd chose Epcot. Anybody who says they saw everything in Epcot in 1 day is mistaken. Maybe they saw all they wanted to see, but they certainly didn't see everything.

My family and I love Epcot also. I don't think its possible to see and do everything in one day. Maybe just FW, but not both FW and WS. I love all the detail that you really have to slow down to enjoy. Yes, you can rush through each attraction and not linger and do it in one day, but we like to take our time and enjoy the attractions. We really like going in the fall and enjoying the Food and Wine Festival. We could spend a whole day just strolling around WS then. I think of all the parks, Epcot it the most conducive to slowing down and it all in.
