You won't believe this deal I got.....

For anyone who read my recent post you would know we just splurged on appliances etc. WELL...since our new stove is electric with the flat burners we needed to replace some of our pots & pans to the recommended style.Actually,the only thing we really neede to replace was our stock pot(husband is Italian so lots of sauces and soups in BIG batches!).Filene's was having a 1 day sale yesterday and Caphalon pans were on sale for 20% off plus a 10% coupon SOOOO we decided to splurge AGAIN and found an awesome 12 quart pot but it was $168.00!Yikes!!I figured I would bring it up to the cashier to find out what it would cost on sale.O.K.-she scans it and it comes up $26.98!!!!I said "Is that right?" and she said "if it comes up that price then it's yours for that!"SO we bought 3!!!X-mas gifts for family!!!
Well,my husband made the BEST "gravy" tonight thanks to that $168.00 pot!!!haha

I got a MSRP $300 Samsonite Silhouette 7 laptop case with the soft dock for $24.99 at Dillards in FL. There were three of them. One said $200, one said $150 and this one said $24.99. It was obviously mismarked, but they gave it to us for that price. I didn't find out how much it is really worth until I got on the computer later to check. It was such a good deal. Wish we could have bought the others for that as well, but I think they were nice enought to give us that one for the wrong price.

Here's the 2nd part....
My DH went back today to get a few things and I told him that if the pots came out to be the same price well, buy a couple more!So he did,and after he paid for them a clerk told him that he was not suppose to be able to "buy" them for that price because it was suppose to be a "gift" for those people that bought the $400.00 set-they could purchase this pot at the DISCOUNTED price!But he said it was their mistake and he was entitled to the price!!Woohoo!!!!!!Computers can be wrong!!!
Can I just tell you we got a Calphalon omlette pan(basically a huge frying pan)for a wedding gift 61/2 years ago and it is better today than the day we got it!They are expensive to buy(not in our case!!!haha) but worth EVERY penny-they last forever!

my hubby is dying for a set of the calphalon pans...i'm hoping that someone will have a REALLY good sale on a set of them soon...he's going crazy cooking with the cheapo pots and pans...

That is a great deal, just don't use it for tomato sauce since it is aluminum.
