My favorite Christmas movie ever. My dad had me quoting lines when I was very young. And to this day I still pronounce fragile like they do in the movie.

With as much dignity as he could muster, the Old Man gathered up the sad remains of his shattered Major Award. Later that night, alone in the backyard, he buried it next to the garage. Now I could never be sure, but I thought that I heard the sound of "Taps" being played, gently.

I caught the first few minutes of it late last night. Such a good show. It is probably my favorite Christmas movie. I LOVE Darren McGavin.

I was at Hallmark the other day and they have ornaments that included Ralphie in the bunny suit and the Leg Lamp.

Plus the other ornaments are so cool. Disney, Charlie Brown, etc...I really am tempted but I never buy.

My kids were off school yesterday for a snow day, and my 16 year old stepdaughter was taunting me at work, by watching it and texting lines to me!! She got the Ralphie in the bunny suit ornament this year. And, for some reason, she was wearing too many layers on Monday, and walking into school from her car, she kept saying "I can't put my arms down!!"

We must watch this at least 10 times a year.. One channel plays it over and over - for 24 hours straight..
