You top 3 must have meals???

WOW,

Thank you so much for the great replies. There does seem to be some overlap with a fw, so they will rank high on the list...

OH..anything that is called Biergarten is good in my book also!!!!

Please keep them coming!

My top 3 meals would have to be:

1) Biergarten (for lunch or dinner)
2) Ohana for dinner
3) Le Cellier (for lunch or dinner)

There are so many other restaurants I could include on this list, but I would have to say that these are definitely my top 3.

About tp book a trip for the family in April. It is me and DW an ds8 and ds5. We have not been to Disney.

I know I may have trouble getting all we want being inside 120 days. The whole idea of planing this trip is kind of overwhelming. I want to be sure we get at least one must have meal.

The boys already said that they are not interested in the princesses dinner...lol

Thanks to all in advance. This board is awesome!

Sean

1) Cystal Palace for lunch or dinner. The characters are great (pooh, piglet, tigger, and eeyore) and the food is AMAZING. Honestly, it is one the of the best meals I have ever had in disney.

2) Ohana's for dinner. The view is spectacular and it's another one with an amazing meal. The entertainment is ok, your kids may really enjoy it.

3) Boma's for dinner. My party was very torn over this meal. Some said it was great some said good but they'd never eat there again. I myself thought it was great. The selection was wide and it was all intresting, great food.

No matter what you choose I'm sure you'll enjoy! Disney has some amazing restuarants.

1) Biergarten

2) Whispering Canyon Cafe

3) Ohana

This trip we are not on the dining plan, so we will only do the first two, and the only other TS we plan on doing is Yak and Yeti, but the kids don't like asian food, so they'll be doing something else. I loved Ohana, but the other two beat it out. :goodvibes

My Husband top 3: Narcoosee's, Chef de France and Crystal Palace
My pick: Citricos, Chef de France and Crystal Palace
My DS4: Tusker House breakfast buffet, Crystal Palace and Hollywood and vine character meal (my son is a preschooler but he loves this one but I think your kids might be too old for the characters).
Have a magical trip.

1. Ohana (dinner)
2. 50's Prime Time Cafe (lunch or dinner)
3. The Plaza (lunch or dinner)

OKay - The Top 3 ADR CHoices.....

#1: Teppan Edo: You have BOYS...if I ask my DS-now-17...his FAVORITE Thing about WDW (including rides, etc) he will say "Teppan Edo"...and he has been to WDW 10 times (and quite proud of it)... Boys just love watching Hibachi with the sharp knives and fire...and most love most things Asian... my DS even enjoys the Drum show and shopping in Japan...

#2: 'Ohana BREAKFAST! (Not dinner) The food is good...served "Family style" and the characters parade the kids around the dining room... our teens still enjoyed it....(DS has been 3 times from age 7 to 16)..

#3: CRT: Yes - it might be Cinderella's Royal Table...BUT it's the CASTLE for goodness sake! EVERYONE should eat in the castle at least ONCE...PLus DS's will get a picture with CInderella...they will get a sword (or magic wand...IF they continue with this program...it's being re-vamped). YOU KNOW Every kids that see's that castle wants to go up in it...This is their chance...
DS-now-17 still talks about how they stay in character...calling him "young prince" and "sir"....

Those are my top 3 ...have a Wonderful magical visit!

Mary

1. Kona Cafe - Most love it for breakfast, but they have an awesome steak I adore. Plan on getting dinner here - it's amazing too.
2. Yak and Yeti - Whether we do the table service or the counter service, we always enjoy our food here and visit at least once a trip.
3. T-Rex - This is our new found favorite. It's new in Downtown Disney and has the best ribs I've ever had in my life.

Not including counter service...

1. Le Cellier: This is a steakhouse in Canada in Epcot. While children do go here, it isn't the same atmosphere as kid-friendly places to eat. In other words, make sure your kids can sit still somewhere nice.

2. Chef Mickey's: A buffet in the Contemporary resort with characters (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto). They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

3. Sci-Fi Dine Inn: Great place for lunch in Disney Hollywood Studios. Decorated like a drive-in theatre, with a movie screen showing previews from 50's sci-fi movies and sci-fi cartoons. And you eat in a booth shaped like a car.

1. Cali Grill (food is amazing and the view of MK is just breathtaking)
2. Akershus Breakfast (I know you said no Princess meals, but they have a really good breakfast, and we have 2 princess:princess: so it is a must with us)
3. Pecos Bills (not a TS but a CS in MK and they have the best fixings bar , we have to go there at least once each time we are in MK)

Top Three TS:

1) Kona Cafe (good food and good service)
2) 50's Prime Time (good food and fun)
3) Whispering Canyon (my choice. DH would say Biergarten)

Top Three CS:

1) Port Orleans Riverside Food Court
2) Pop Food Court
2) Tie between Cosmic Rays and Wolfgang Puck Express

I'd have to agree with the other posters as far as Sci/Fi Cafe. We've been there twice with our kids at different ages, first when my DS 12 and DD 8, then again when they were a little older and they loved watching the old B&W trailers of the movies, and eating in cars.

But not sure how your boys would like 50s PT cafe. We brought our two there when they were a little younger, DS 7 and DD 3, and they did NOT like that at all! They didn't like getting "fussed" for not eating everything in their plates! My DH and I LOVED it, tho....we were re-living our wonder years.

After Sci/Fi, I'd have to say the character breakfast at Ohana's for the kids and the breakfast at Kona for the Tonga Toast! YUM!!

We only have 2 trips under our belts, so our experience is limited. That said, we've done Sci Fi both trips and really really love it. We did lunch the first time (good) and dessert the second time. We've decided dessert at Sci-Fi will be a must for every trip! Great dessert and awesome atmosphere. DD9 and DS5 both love it.

We loved Chef Mickey's character breakfast and the Princess breakfast in the castle but we are going to try Tusker House next time. (have to try them all, eventually) :-)

I think everyone should eat in the castle at least once. Perhaps the non-princess dinner?

We have little ones so almost every meal has been with kids in high chairs!! Most of our sit down meal have been breakfast and lunch so here it goes.....

1. Kona-breakfast (every trip this is dh #1 dining request)

2. Crystal Palace breakfast (must get ressie before park opens for awesome pics)

3. 50's Prime Time-lunch (great atmosphere and great food plus dessert)
