OK - You must already know this since I haven't posted since before 8 this morning....

DH had an oral surgery appt about 8 blocks from the address shown for Big Lots. So of course I volunteered to drive him down - I figured he wouldn't be feeling too well afterwards. I refuse to even think about how they do crown lengthening!

Well, there they were....side-by-side...Big Lots & Tuesday Morning! Fortunately, neither store had as much scrap stuff as sweet maxine's...maybe only a 3 foot wide area of their racks. I did buy 2 pkgs of mulberry paper for $2 each and 2 pkgs of vellum for $2 each. (1 patterend & 1 colored) Hardly worth reporting.

I was surprised, though, at Big Lots. What a dirty store! Definitely not the kind of place that I'd want to go back to often.

Tuesday Morning OTOH was very interesting. I only had a couple minutes before I needed to run back for DH & the clerk didn't even know if they had any scrapping stuff! (They did...lots of paper sets, carry alls, etc.) But I thought of the poster who was doing her den like AKL while I was there. WOW! Really neat stuff! I told DH we might need to re-do our living room like that when the landlord gets around to fixing the walls downstairs. Really cool stuff!

How generous of you to offer to make the drive to the oral surgeon's office for your DH! And to think, NO ulterior motives at all behind doing so! No, uh-uh, nada, absolutely not!

I have to admit, though, I do have to "look into things" whenever I have to take DD or DS to any out-of-town appointments, ball games, or whatever. You just never know what I might miss!

Sorry your Big Lots visit didn't go well, but I'm glad you were able to find some goodies at Tuesday Morning. I think the reason there must be so much scrapbook stuff at my Big Lots here is because they're trying to seduce us all here in the Delta. There's not too much to do around here, so we might as well be going into Big Lots and loading up on the scrap-habit stuff there. I can see it..... just one visit, pick up a few things, then start looking for more where that came from, hit the internet, find boards like these that encourage this type of activity...it's really a viscious cycle. Where will it all end?????

Crop in Style Jr. -- $14.99
Crop in Style backpack -- $14.99

I bought all of the above mentioned except the CIS stuff (I have a Navigator, 2 XLs, and a Paper Taker already so I didn't "need" it!). In all, it was a productive trip!

And guess what? DH was actually impressed at the bargains that I found!!! Well, I guess it helped that I bought him a couple of things at Big Lots too...

Sorry to post again, but I had to make a quick Big Lots trip this afternoon with my DD. I found the prettiest scrapbook kit, 12 x 12" postbound, comes with 10 top loading pages, and coordinating (beautiful!) papers, and stickers. It also has a pkg. of vellum die-cuts, and a pkg. of "sculptured charms" trimmed in pink roses. The book is beautiful---edged
in pink, green, tan, and peach, and the rest of it is covered with roses and zinnias----all of $9.99! I couldn't believe it, and this will definitely be MY book for me! I just love all the colors, and I was so excited to find it.
