You know you've been on this Disney forum too long when:

* when your 2 year old can't put a sentence together, but points and says "dow tow dinney" clear as a bell when you've got the guidebook open to that page.

now now, you should be more understanding towards people who cant get to disney world as often as you, its not our fault we dont know rides have closed ( :flower: pretty sure that post about being the first to tell someone about 20,000 leagues was about me) :wave2:

Actually it wasn't about you at all. And even if it had been, it wasn't meant as a slam against anyone, it was more of a slam against us. We are soooo involved with Disney and the detail that we sometimes forget that we are in the minority. Thus we have spent too much time on the boards.

If you weren't into obsession mode like the rest of us, it is highly unlikely that you would know about it. If you don't have the good fortune to be able to go just about every year, like I have, then you shouldn't be expected to follow every little detail. Honestly, I was not aware that you had asked that question until you said it above. But in case you haven't heard....20K is history!
:rolleyes1

when you can't stop reading threads like this one each day to see what new funny posts have been added :goodvibes

*When you see a newbie asking for general information, and because you know they are clueless, and you are like the Zen Master, your eyes light up, your smile turns eerily familiar, and you are like a tiger waiting to pounce a Gizelle to get more information to this guy/gal than they ever wished to hear in their lives. Then after you spend 20 minutes typing the post, you never hear from them again.....................knowing they left of fear for their lives.

That just happened to me!! I was reading a thread & the person asked about 20,000 leagues...and I was almost afraid to be the poster who told her it was gone!!! :rotfl2:
i wasnt offended, i just had to put in a little word for the underdog... i was referring to the post quoted above, not the original one. (i found it quite amusing) i could be wrong about the referene, but i recognize the name from a reply to one of my threads mentioning the 20,000 leagues ride :earboy2:

You know you've been on this Disney forum too long when you start saying in everyday conversations that you read (blank) on the board last night and your friends don't know what the board is or you don't have a vacation in the planning stages.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all wonderful infomation I have found on DIS and it is great to know that there are other people who share the Magic everyday.

Bless you!

*...when you can't wait to tell everyone at work what information you found out the night before on the boards, and they look at you weird/roll their eyes/laugh/or try to run away from you when you begin to tell them

*...when you have no idea that there was even a snowstorm ALERT in your area because you haven't been reading the paper/watching the news/looking at any other sites, because the DIS boards is all the important information you need! (seriously, I didn't even know it was supposed to snow in our area!!!) :rotfl:

When no one has posted a new trip report in the last half hour and you just can't go much longer without reading one.

Oh my! I've started to do that too! :rotfl2:

When you have only been a member of this board for a little over a month and DH is threatning to cancel your ISP because you are online at DIS everyday and you look at him and plainly state "Without Dis we will look like the Disney Virgins that we are when we go in December and you don't want your DEAR DAUGHTER to think you don't know it all".................needless to say DH shook his head and told me that I "need help" I told him I would see if there was a "Dis help me thread" lol
:rotfl2:

Haha this thread is great!
How about...
"...when most of your contributions to conversations are from stuff you read on the DISboards."

When you experience something magical at Walt Disney World and your first thought is that you can't wait to share with the Dis!!!! :disrocks: :disrocks: :disrocks:
::yes::

For the record, I had the "show pictures" thing disabled on my computer, so in my previous post, I said that I sometimes visualize how people look. Well, I turned it on and now I can put real faces on the names of some of you. Boy, was I wrong about some things! :rotfl:

But I must say, you are all quite handsome/beautiful! ;) :flower:

. . . when your DD says something funny, and you actually say LOL! out loud.

*That's how you bond with your family
DHSSenior- My mom and I are the same way!!
My Dad just looks at us and rolls his eyes :rotfl:

*When your BF calls and asks what's new on the DIS today... I told him my compulsive plannning would be worth it when we have a magical vacation in May!! :love2:

Yep, I'm guilty! :rotfl2:

You know you've been on this Disney forum too long when:

*You haven't even called CRO yet but you have your countdown timer already posted.

*You cyber-stalk people you find funny/interesting by clicking their name and checking out their other posts (how do you think found this thread?)

*Your heart races as they read the verdict on X's trial, not because you are intersted in the verdict, but because YOU want to be first to post it.

*You clap, squeal, and jump up and down like a little girl after your SO agrees to yet another WDW trip.

*When you spend half your Disney vacation taking notes and saying to yourself, "Man, I can't wait to post this!" and "Ooooh, this is really a time saver/bargain/fantastic restaurant/insert otherwiseboringthingtonondisneypeople here."

and along those lines...

*You have already written your trip report mentally by the time you have left WDW property.

and lastly...

*You have a hot SO waiting for you in the other room, but yet you sit at the computer coming up with "You know you've been on this Disney forum too long when:" replies!

*...when you are in the shower and think about a question/comment/tip to post in regards to the DIS boards...

(that was me this morning!!!)

This is so me. Except it's not just in the shower but also on the way to the post office, while I'm washing dishes, while I'm walking the dog... :rolleyes1

Thanks for the funny thread!

This happened to me today...
*when you run into another Disney fanatic, find out that they also spend a gazillion hours on the DIS boards and you both start talking DIS to each other. It went like this, "Did you hear about the EMH at MK?" "Yes, we'll be staying at CBR and plan on PSing for CRT for DDs BDay."
:rotfl2: Too funny that we understand each other while the other people with us are standing there completely bewildered. :rotfl:

PS I love checking out everyone's new tickers.
