You know you've been Disney-fied when...

When I tell people I am going to WDW, they ask.....Didn't you live in Orlando? Haven't you seen enough of Disney?

WHO EVER HEARD OF SUCH A RIDICULOUS THING? Too much of Disney?
NEVER!!!

Whe you and your husband buy a DVC and can't wait to take our 7 month old to WDW for the first time.

He will be 9 months in January when wee go Yippee:hyper: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

elemusing - we are going to WDW instead of going home for Christmas to CA.

icon_minnie.gif
angey77 - I know what you mean about spending all your free time on the boards & about going "left" on all the rides.

icon_mickey.gif
harleymickey - I would say it is GOOD if you can relate to all posted here.

- You know where you can find lots of different smilies to put in your posts - even if they are from other disneyboards.

When you read the postings about the vacations of complete strangers and get a little choked up... everytime!::yes::

I never thought about getting antenna toppers and hanging them from the rearview mirror----I'm gonna buy me some in June!!!

-all the great quotes you can remember word for word are Disney related:crazy: Ain't it fun be certifiably Disney-fied:tongue:

When all the CDs in your car are Disney CDs.

When you can sing the words to all the songs on the Theme Park CD at the top of your lungs while in rush hour traffic. You like a captive audience.:smooth:

When you pay your kids allowance in Disney Dollars because you know they'll be able to spend it soon enough!::MickeyMo And when they also know which characters are on the dollars "this year" as opposed to who was on them "last year" or the year before and so on......;)

At least now I know what I am. I can honestly admit to 99.99% of what is written. Plus- all my favorite restaurants are at WDW, You take your money out of other investments to buy MORE DVC points, your retirement involves working at WDW, you plan a vacation to California just to see the Electric light parade again. I could go on and on::MickeyMo :earsboy:

You know you've been Disney-fied when:

::MickeyMo Your co-workers have to get you disney dollars for your birthday (YEAH!!!! TYTYTY Guys!!!)
::MickeyMo You're entire house is decked out in Disney
::MickeyMo You see a white tower and immediately assume it is Space Mountain.
::MickeyMo Every picture in your house is Disney, and you don't even have the wall space to hang more!!!
::MickeyMo Even your car has Disney decals on it!! (Stitch on the tail lights and Tink in the window!!)

When first thing in the morning after checking e-mails you go to this web site and it make you smile.
When you can relate to everything on this thread.
When I just returned from 10 days on 11/11 and its 11/14 and I am thinking about next year.

When you live in IL and have an annual pass.

And when you take your brothers and sisters, and they ask you if that is part of the "cult" ritual when you have to have your fingers scanned.

Aladdinsgirl - "You know it's bad when you start seeing hidden Mickey's everywhere!"

I think I can go one better - When you faux-finish a hidden Mickey in you house! I put a hidden Mickey on my rag-painted kitchen wall!

When you get upset with relatives, for stressing a kid's first time to MK. They bought a one day ticket and arrived at The Park at 11:30am on a Sunday. And then they can't understand why they didn't get to see everything & the lines were so long. The child asked to go on Dumbo but is told - we're not waiting in line 45 min for that. But at the same time claim they that they didn't need to bother with FP. (I also had another relative do the same thing at Universal & their kids got to go on one ride all day. She said she would never go back again. This was after I had stated the importance of getting their first thing in the morning. My kids went on Hulk 2X, Dr. Doom & Spidey, - all before 10am!!!)

When you go with a group to Disney and they ask you to plan the day for them. Even when we went to AK they wanted me to 'lead' and I'd never been there before. However, dh loved the shortcut thru the RFC in the morning - all the while yelling at me, "where R we going? this doesn't go anywhere!" That is until we beat the huge line of people lined up at the main gates.

When you've drummed 'peak hours' into your teenaged son so much that he applies it to everything. He refuses to go to the movies on a weekend now. Opting instead for less crowded times & showings.

When you call the shelf over the fireplace where you keep your Disney treasures the "Mickey Mantle"

&

And when you ALWAYS know just how many days it is until your next WDW vacation....63 today.

I don't know about the rest of you but I even get excited
when I receive my Disney Rewards Visa bill in the post,
because I just know there's going to be a brightly colored
insert with some Magical Disney Offer just for me!!!

C'mon you know you like it too!

This is just the best thread ever. I have such a bad pain in my side from laughing at this. Sad thing is that it all true! I loved the comment on the airport monarail. We get such goose bumps when we ride on it when we arrive in Orlando. We feel like were there.
A couple of Disney-fied tips from us are:
When your evening "family time" ALWAYS has something to do with Disney, it may be a disney game, vacation video, Our favorite planning dvd, or a group session on planning our next trip.
When every holiday you make cookies and always adapt mickey outfit to that holiday.
And one that just happend this very morning is when you and your spouse sit down to talk about what to buy your child for christmas and you pull out you Disney store mags. and everything on the list comes from the Disney store!
But the one that really gets us is that we have to spend everyone of our DD birthdays in WDW!

Sorry if this is a repeat, I havent had a chance to read them all, but I just did this...
When using a public bathroom you stick your hand under the faucet and expect the water to automatically turn on for you. I actually had to tell myself, "Youre not at Disney".
