If you read the article, it says that Kurt was in the house but it doesn't say who it was that was being so stupid. Probably a now unemployed assistant or gardener

ETA: the article first says it was him but then goes on to say that he, his son and some pets were in the house at the time of the incident. It's worded weird to me.

The Toronto Fire Department said the fire was caused by the "home owner" drying the seats with a life blower.

I assume that Kurt is the home owner.

I agree that the article linked to was weirdly/badly worded.

Before I begin ... I like Kurt Browning.

I personally think it was Kurt and his PR person was trying save him further embarassment by saying it was an "unidentified person." If it was his gardener, they'd probably say it was his gardener.

Besides, I could see myself doing something that stupid. Although, I do not own a mansion, a Porsche convertible or a leaf blower, so I guess I'm safe!

It doesn't say unidentified person. It says several times that it was Kurt who was the one doing the drying. I'm sure he is kicking himself with a triple lutz right now
