I thought we were the only ones who had a change jar...or, as we have, an empty cottage cheese container on top of the fridge! We've got about $40 and have till October to save!

Ours was the top to a 50-pack of CD-rs.

Since part of our motivation for scheduling the trip was DBF's cancer treatment (we decided that we'd make Disney the light at the end of the treatment tunnel), we called it (tounge-in-cheek here) our "Disney Make-A-Wish Fund."

We are leaving in 6 days.....I can hardly wait. We are going to the bank this very morning.....We saved 400 + $$$$. And the kids have their own spending to which we will add a little extra for their good school grades.

I have a Mickey Mouse bank that I put ONLY quarters into. It's probably 2/3 full and I've got until October 4th to save. I will probably have $75 which isn't too bad, considering, it's just me saving! LOL

We LOVE our change jar!!!!! $300+ about a month ago!!! Even DS(6) and DD (2) know that any change they find in the couch cushions or any that they have go to the "Mouse Fund"!!! DD even tells people that "the Mouse wants her mommy's money!!!"

We leave tomorrow. Our Jar just got cashed in the other day, although I could have killed DH for using Coinstar (they charge). We lost a few dollars to that. I told him that was smoothies for a few days.

We ended up with about $400 of change and bills - Woo hoo!

We cashed ours in about 6 weeks ago and had $350 so it went to our savings to acquire some interest, i'm guessing it's got about another $200 in it now. i also put some loose $1 in there too. it won't be cashed till about 1 week before we leave though... 48 days to go !!! YippY!

We do the same thing every year for our trip. We drive from Virginia to Florida, so the money we put in the change sorter is used for gas and getting the car ready to go on the trip. We have over $200 right now, and a few more months to save!

I have 2 Disney Banks one if for Silver change and the other is for Pennies. We are still adding till the very last minute. Whatever we can save will help. Maybe it will be our $$

August 20 for 10 days at Coronado Springs with the whole family!!
