DD - 2 1/2 yrs old - just handed me a plastic game card - and picked up a pad and paper. I realized this was my menu and she was taking my order! I ordered (meatloaf) and she took the menu from me, and left! :rotfl:

This is also about the same age that DS took my credit card from me at a restaurant when the bill came, and put it in the little card slot, closed the thingy and put it at the edge of the table!

:rotfl:

I hope she brings you some meatloaf now! lol

My friend knew she was giving her daugther too much drive-through fast food when she stopped to PAY A TOLL and her 2 yr old said "Fries! shake!" LOL!!!!!

Our kids do that too, and then ask if we want our margaritas on the rocks with no salt! :teeth:

:rotfl: We actually got a Christmas card from a local Chinese restaraunt that we order from that said "Thank you for being our customer"...

She brought me a plastic apple!

I see we aren't the only ones who eat out too much! :teeth:

We not only eat out too much but eat at the same restaurant too much. It's a Mexican restaurant down the street, and it is awesome, not to mention cheap!! So, at least once a week, sometimes more. Anyway, DD's second grade class was doing a project during Thanksgiving about how things are different now as opposed to back in the colonial days. Then, children walked to school, today, children ____________. The kids would fill in the blanks. Well, one of the questions was, "Then, people grew their food in gardens. Today, we get our food from _________________. Her answer, "La Hacienda."

Of course this is the same restaurant that DH and I went to lunch at one day. I didn't feel like bringing my purse, DH forgot his wallet. We get to the counter and back look at each in shock as we realized what had happened. The manager just laughed and said, "No problem - just pay us next time."

We eat at the cafe in town all the time, breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a frequent diners club - you get your name on a plaque. The walls are covered with large plaques with small tags engraved with names of families who spend as much time in there are we do.

We are eagerly awaiting our second tag.

;)

We get take out too much too, but since its New Years time, were trying to fix that. A few times, DD4, instead of asking what I'm making for dinner, or even what were having, asks, What are we ordering for dinner tonite?

We know what you mean. At our favorite local Mexican restaurant, most of the waiters know already what to bring us.:) We really throw them if we change our order. :rotfl:

Breakfast is usually the same thing - I actually love having a place where I can say, "bring me the usual."

(I also shop too much - DD was swiping gift cards throught the computer keyboard!)

I'm glad I'm not alone with the eating out thing - I guess that can be a New Year's resolution. That should last until the first visitors start arriving from the north. ;)

We eat at the same Mexican restaurant about once a week and one night DH was parking the car while I went to the bar to get drinks. I ordered my margarita and then for the life of me, couldn't remember which beer DH usually gets. Not a problem though, because the bartender knew - now that's pretty bad when the bartender knows what DH drinks better than I do!

I'm with you all on the eat out too much.

last night we went to the local cheap mexican place (I think everyone has one of those) and whne the waiter started to clear the table the 19th month old tossed his napkin, spoon, and cup into the middle of his plate and tried to hand it to the server!!! :rotfl: It wouldn't have been so bad except that the spoon and cup were ours!!

My oldest when he was 2 or 3, if you asked him where he wanted to eat for dinner he either said Red Lobster or Sumos (that's a Japanese steak house!). I knew then that I needed to change my eating habits so he would be like the rest of the kids and say McDonalds!!!

Around here, some restaurants have "call ahead seating" where you can put your name on the wait list before you arrive. Sometimes, I don't even have to give our name, the hostess will know my voice.

That's really cute!

But my sister did the same thing--and we never ate out when we were kids! She must have seen it on TV.

A friend of mine had a similar experience last month, her DD is 2 1/2 and as they were waiting in the drive up lane at the bank her DD started yelling "chicken". When my friend pulled up to the window all the tellers were laughing and told my friend they could hear her DD and were making bets if they would leave the bank and turn right into the fast food place next door.
