Well, is that offer already on the system if you tap in your details now?, I mean is the price you pay already giving you the discount? So if you dont book by 31st July will the price go up?
Sorry if this is stupidly obvious, but we are thinking once again about a trip next October, staying onsite for a week with tickets, so might be worth taking the plunge! Any advice on this offer would be great help thanks:)

Yes, booking on the walt disney resort website, so you think it will show a 15 percent increase if I get a quote after 31st July then? Ive looked on the website and cant find the bit where it says the discount is off the current price-thats what made me think- and thanks for replying:)

Yes the 15% is already included, but it doesn't say which resorts have the discount other than OKW and SSR as it says 30% + 15% if booked before 31st July. I would think moderates are included as their current price isn't much more than this year.:surfweb:

I e mailed Disney about this as I couldn't see how the discount was calculated.

I tried it against the Beach Club and I can't remember exactly how many nights you had to stay to qualify (14 nights?) or the period, but when I calculated a price for the qualifying period and divided it down to give me the equivalent nightly price, it was the same as a non offer nightly price :confused3:confused3:confused3.

I e mailed DIsney and queried this and they told me it WAS correct. When I queried it again and told them about my calculation, they were quite blunt in their reply and basically told me they were right and I was wrong!!!

I still don't see it myself but not a lot I can do about it :sad2:

Difficult to show you how the discount works without knowing more detail so I will show you on OKW which I know more about, its the deal we are doing for 3rd time this year and considering next year.

They work the discounts on US rack rate. For our dates next July/August(2012) a 1 bed studio is $330 + 12.5% tax = $371.25 = £230.59/night 45% discount = £103.77 leaving discounted price at £126.82

Now if I get a quote off Complete Orlando they are asking £120/night which is including the 45% (CO quote 48%) http://www.completeorlando.co.uk/corp/disney_special_offer.php

Hope that explains the way they work their discounts.
