and the first few lines of the thread pop up, mine isn't working. Is it a board issue or a my computer issue? The computer I am on is an old work one that was wiped and reloaded so I probably don't have everything on here that I need yet. What program/whatever allows that? I am guessing it is my computer. Thanks.

It works for me...that's how I read your post. :) Every so often it doesn't work, and isn't it annoying?

It's still working for me--I really like that feature. Hope you can find the issue and get back to hovering.:)

It does not work for me when I am using my cell phone.:headache: Does it work for anyone from your cell phone? Wish I knew how to fix it, sorry.

Did you try rebooting? Is this a new problem or just with this new/old computer?

It might be a good idea to clean out your cookies. Preview is working just fine over here.

Ok, I am back on this computer that won't do the auto preview-there is something missing on this computer-Java or something that allows the preview-anyone have any idea? It is work computer that was wiped and XP reinstalled (company retired this model-does every 2 years). It ONLY had XP when I got it back from the tech guy at work.

Do you fix your smilie problem yet? I posted about it on your other thread. The problems are probably associated.

No, this is a different computer. No, I haven't fixed it yet. The smilies work on this one just fine but the hover over deal doesn't at all. :thumbsup2

Did you happen to download the same emails to both computers? Maybe you got hit with a virus that is affecting different parts of both of your computers.

And, no I am not stalking you, keeping tabs on all your posts. :lmao: It's a lite day on the DIS today. Very few posters around at all. :surfweb:

Yes, I did get the email to work on both computers but I couldn't get the auto preview to work on this computer before that. The other computer with the smilie issue started before I redid the computers here. The one with the smilie issue was our "main" computer in our kitchen. We had a desktop that was in our TV room that I have now moved to the basement, moved the other laptop to the TV room and this newer laptop is now our "main" one. I haven't used this computer since I last posted about the auto preview thing.

I am sure it is probably some missing program that allows that-auto preview doesn't work on other message boards either (but the smilies did on the other computer :confused3).

That happened to me once, and I can't remember how I fixed it!
Have you tried another browser? Like Firefox or Chrome?

Ok, just opened up IE and it had me install an Active X and the auto preview works with IE. I closed out Firefox, opened it back up, logged out of DIS, logged back in and the auto preview still doesn't work with Firefox. Is there some way to force Firefox to look for Active X or similar controls??

You may just need to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. That may have been what happened to me too.

OK:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I just uninstalled both Firefox and IE, reinstalled them both, now this works again!! :worship::worship::worship: THANKS!!

And better yet, I was able to download my Google sync for my Droid X and my computer so I can sync my Gmail account. I feel like I should pay you for the help :lmao::lmao::lmao:.

I'll send you the bill! Just glad it worked!:wizard:
