Its kinda sad, i wish there were more people...I dont think it has anything to do with facebook taking over or a new generation or anything like thta...It's because most frequent DISers are in senior year and have TONS to do....Well, at least most of who ive met.. that or they are too busy in school or doing other fun things.... What exactly was untrue about what they said? They said that a role playing thread exists and new posters are posting. Thats completely true.

I miss the TB from Summer '08. It was The Summer of the Trolls, but it was so awesome. Like with George, me, Billy, and Hilary on the Test Thread, and the orginal Murder Mystery in the MK thread.

That was also back when we could talk about religion and politics and that stuff. Much more interesting than "OMG I like this boy and he doesn't like me what do I do??!?!" and making copies of pointless threads, like trying to make another random thread when we already have one that's much below 250 pages.

Someone had suggested that there be a "tween forum" and a "teen forum" so that the older teens can have...how do I say this?...more...mature conversations and whatnot.

And nt type lyke dis cuz its relly anoying.

This has been the suggestion since I started reading (04) and since I joined (05) and its never happened. I believe the reasoning was since there is a college board, we don't need that. However, the college board is strictly for DCP talk I believe.

That's an interesting idea and I've never heard about it, other than this. I agree with what you said. Again, I know I'm one of the young-ish new0ish TBers but I agree with what you said about the conversations (and the typing )

lol i do agree with the bolded area. Its not that we don't like tweens its just were older and they can get frustrating sometimes.

I will be perfectly honest, I have sort of grown out of Disney.
Now, of course I haven't grown out of the movies, I love them.
But the theme parks? For me, they're just not what they used to be, and I feel no need to back within the next 5-10 years. I love the theme parks, but not quite the same way I used to.

I come around to read, and leave the occasional comment, but there's not much for me to keep coming back every hour on the hour.

i liked this forum because of the people in it. i have a lot of them on my facebook, so i guess i'll at least be able to keep in touch with the people i talked to.

i agree. when i first joined we had a debate board. that died pretty quickly lol.

Wasn't the girl thread called Team VJJ at one point? I remember having to change it because it was inappropriate.

I've been posting on the TB since I was tweleve years old. I'm seventeen now, and it kind of saddens me to see it in this current borderline dead state. I do agree with Hilary, that I feel like I've kind of outgrown Disney. I'm still looking forward to Toy Story 3, but I don't really care about going back to WDW. To be quite honest, the year that I went to Florida, but didn't go to WDW, was the best vacation overall.

I think it's that way too, but I really think I've outgrown being on here. I still post because its my niche. Almost everyone who used to post on here in like, '07, '08 have stopped, and I never really made an effort to know anyone else.

I agree with this. I really liked the serious threads because to me, it proved that a bunch of teens ranging in ages 13 to like, 19 who don't even know each other in real life could have a civilized and mature conversation without it leading to petty drama or any of that. I joined in 2005 when I was 13, and even though I've been mostly a lurker this past year or so, I will never forget being shocked by the maturity of the majority of the posters on the TB, and really getting into deep conversations with people my age. And yeah, I totally agree, YAGEs are always funny (and I think it's about time for another soon lol jk) but what always made me keep coming back to this board was how I could have fun with all of you, but also bring it back to being mature and interesting.
