I was on the phone the entire AM, and I mean ENTIRE trying to get Disney Dining to correct a huge mistake.
I planned the entire trip for a friend of mine who left today for their first trip to WDW. When she called yesterday to do a last mintue verification of all hotel & dining reservations, she was shocked to find out that she had NO ADR's for this week. All reservations were made for JUNE and not MAY. The reservationist told her there was nothing she could do and all restuarants were booked.
My friend called me in tears, worried that her vacation was off to a bad start.
At first when she told me what had happened...my first thought was maybe I did something wrong
But then I remembered in my conversation with the CM who booked the ADR's, she poked a bit of fun at me (in a nice way) for trying to make ADR's at popular places only 2 weeks prior. I guess I know why I was able to get my choices in such short notice...
So...this AM I called Disney Dining, explained the situation and then spoke to guest services. After hours of refiguring, calling each resturant individually and speaking to each resturant manager the GREAT HARROLD got new ADR's for the exact dates and minutes off of the original reservations!
Everyone who I spoke to said that this was a very unusual situation. I do understand that we are all human & mistake can be made BUT I think it wouldn't hurt to double check the Month & day of your ADR's.
Hats of to Harrold
for making a mistake turn into MAGIC! I will be busy writing a super big letter of Thanks tomorrow!
