You have to try this at Boma...

We've been to Boma at least 10 times. When we were there in February they had some kind of new peanut soup...I can't remember what it was called exactly. Our fantastic server, Jeff, recommended we get some and stir some of the coconut rice into it. Oh, my gosh!!! It was so delicious. I think about it all the time. I can't wait to have more. That one dish will take me back to Boma next time even though normally we would have rotated out of Boma this trip (usually go every other trip lately).

Sounds yummy! The Whole Foods here makes a very good African Peanut stew that I love so I'll definitely try that when we go next month. Thanks for the tip!

Mmm... I can't wait! I love peanut based food.

Now you have me wanting to hand hubby a huge plate of chicken thighs coated with a peanut butter & ginger sauce I make - ready for him to BBQ. Too bad it's raining out and tonight's such a busy night. On the bright side, he's home for a 4-day weekend starting tomorrow! Now I need to take a trip to the grocery store!

Peanut butter soup is a traditional dish from Ghana. We have a dear friend who taught us how to make it. It's basically a chicken stew with tomatoes, and peanut butter added, plus spices. Depending on your tastes, it can be made very hot. It is one of my favorites. Our friend told us that it is traditionally served over rice balls. We usually eat it with Jasmine rice. Very tasty.

I've enjoyed all the soups at Boma. When people ask what's good there I tell 'em "soup!" I realize soup doesn't sound like the most exotic thing, but those soups are delicious. Haven't had the peanut soup but I wouldn't miss giving it a try
