You have to replace the oldest thing in the room you're in with something new , what are you replacing?(non person?

Mantel clock. It's 100 years old.

The room I'm in right now - the external speakers I'm using on my computer. I salvaged them off of an old 486 computer (kids, that dates to about the start of the popularity of the internet - AOL to be exact). I'm not mad about replacing them - just seemed like a waster to not use them when I set up my office.

An antique rocking chair that belonged to the other half's grandmother. It's ugly and you can't safely sit in it. I'd love to replace it with something you can safely and comfortably sit in.

Antique clock - irreplaceable

The cabinet I use for our television/entertainment center. It's an antique. If I had to replace it, I would replace it with another "new to me" antique. :)

I'm also in a hotel - I'm going to say my book (1994). Although the phone in here might be getting up there...

The oldest thing in the room I'm sitting in is a Kachina Doll my Daddy carved in the 70s. So not being replaced. The second oldest thing in this room is a sort of abstract wooden figure of me when I was pregnant my Daddy also carved in 1979/80. Again, not being replaced ever. The third oldest is a couple of kerosene lamps sitting on the mantle that hubby had before we got together, so I'm guessing they are at least 30 years old. I guess I'd replace them with just a newer model, we use them when the power goes out.
