We went to Tony's because I just had to try it, even though everyone said it stunk and was overpriced.

And.........it stunk and was overpriced! Can't say I wasn't warned.

$78.57 for two spaghetti dinners (with salads), two pops, and two scoops of ice cream. Puhleeeze!

And the food was less than average. Well, spaghetti is spaghetti, but the sauce wasn't very good at all! The meatballs were average. Not water-logged, but not a bit yummy.

Our server was wonderful, but there is no way I'm going there again.

Should've listened to the Disers.

OK, we decided to go here ourselves..is it really that bad? We are going to do Lunch, menu sounds great to us.

We have eaten at Tony's on several occasions in the past and always enjoyed it. A lot of the enjoyment is the atmosphere -- the kids seem to like the Lady and the Tramp theme. We typically eat lunch there which isn't so expensive, and select other than spaghetti. For us it is a respite from the heat in the middle of the day and our service has always been good. The food may not be spectacular but we have always enjoyed it and gone back on numerous occasions.

location, location, location... rent is high on that block of Main Street :rotfl:

we've eaten at Tony's nearly every trip, but never dinner... most sit-down restaurants at WDW are very pricey... you can almost always get the same menu at lower prices with the lunch menu...

breakfast at Tony's is very good... the fritata is very filling...

DW and I went to Tony's for dinner and were pleased with the place. :hyper2:

Her Meal:
Spinach & Artichoke Dip $7.69
Pork Shank $21.49
Hazelnut Chocolate Cake $5.49
Soda $2.19

My Meal:
Fried Goat Cheese $7.49
New York Strip Steak $25.49
Tiarmisu $5.49
Soda $2.19

Dinner was nice and the service was excellent. No, it was not a 5 star dinning experience, but does everything have to be?

The total was $77.52 excluding tax and tip........not bad for a good meal with good atmosphere.
If I would have paid that much money on spaghetti and meatballs I would be in shock too!

We went years without returning to Tony's until our recent trip in November. I can't remember our specific entrees, but they were very good. It was a pleasant surprise.

Sorry your experience wasn't that good. We know how disappointing that can be.

We've only eaten there one and although the restaurant was beautiful the food was very forgettable.

We've eaten at Tony's many times, and thoroughly enjoyed it! We happen to like the lunch menu better than the dinner menu however!
Sorry you didn't like it.

There have been many threads about the price of Tony's Spaghetti. It's only ok but very expensive. So most agree on that point and that it should be avoided BUT I thought my strip steak was wonderful.

It's a beautiful restaurant and lots of fun on your birthday!!

we have eaten at tonys serveral times....disappointed that they did away with the bread before your meal..but lunch is very good there...
