but i've gotten so many great tips on here and hadn't heard this one so i wanted to share. We forgot our camera charger and our battery was almost dead. A photopass photographer asked if we wanted a picture with our camera and when we told him the battery was almost gone he told us that the camera shop on main street will take your battery for a few hours and charge it for you, if they have the kind charger that fits your camera. hope that helps someone, if only to remind you to pack your charger :)

Cool! Thanks for posting that!:yay:

Good to know!

Another thing I found out when my sister forgot her phone charger...we asked at the front desk of our hotel (DLH) whether or not they had one and we were sent to the lost and found. They had almost every kind of charger imagineable and were fine with letting us use one. Apparently it's a common thing to leave behind and people rarely call to get them back. I wasn't surprised at that, since I've left about 4 of them in hotel rooms myself

It's a great thing. I had to use that service a few times one year when I went because I completely forgot my charger!

That is awesome! I wish I had known when we went in December. Just as we entered our time with Mickey in his house, battery goes dead! Ahhh!!! No pictures for the rest of the day.

Will for sure use this next time if needed. Thanks for posting!

Ooooh! This is great information to know, and it is not something that is commonly mentioned here on the DIS at all. In fact, I was just thinking about this very topic recently - both the camera battery charger issue and the cell phone charger issue - as I am certain that many guests must leave their various chargers behind and then their batteries die. I was wondering what people do in that situation (I have not had that happen yet, thank goodness) but I knew it must happen - frequently - with so many thousands of people passing through DLR on a daily basis. So these are really good, practical tips to pass on!!:thumbsup2

Thank you, Happykell and DizMe!!:goodvibes

I have left THREE at hotels and when I call they never seem to have them!

Hmmm....maybe because they give it to the next guest who needs one! More likely, I think, is that it goes to Lost and Found heaven and it's too much trouble for the CM to check and see if it's there. They don't appear to have a very efficient system for such things.

HA HA seriously! I always leave things, I should know better...:confused3
