"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

I am seriously in awe of your ability to stay current on so many people's TRs. And your own!! I spend all my internet time writing self-righteous essays on Brave, haha.

I actually don't have very many relevant things (I've switched to writing self-righteous essays on Frozen now. But that's totally off topic). But..

1. Yay for the PeopleMover! I did that for the first time in December as well. Such a great ride and I loved going inside Space Mountain.

2. The Castle lighting show looks adorable! That was on my priority list but for some reason we always missed it?? (I think we were in line for Big Thunder)

3. You should try craft root beer! Lots of the breweries out here brew their own root beer (also ginger ale and cream soda) and it's delicious. Tastes like candy cigarettes. I don't drink "normal"/canned root beer but I will drink fresh brewed by the gallon.

4. I love the Main Street Electrical Parade! It was my first nighttime parade (and thus is way better than Spectro). I've never had a creepy Pete, though. How.. weird? Then again, I find the Snow White voice awkward and creepy too.

5. Great googly moogly, I am jealous that you got to go to T-Rex. I've never been to T-Rex OR Rainforest and they just look so cool!! Especially the dinosaurs! And there's shopping nearby (we've made the decision to try pin trading and I am now obsessed with the pins on disneystore.com. My bank account is already cringing. They're just too cute!).

6. YAY your trip is so soon!! How exciting! I hope the weather cooperates for you.

He's just too old to be giggling and wearing that kind of outfit. The whole thing is just hilarious. (I know what you mean about Snow White, too. I've never understood her voice.)

5. They're both awesome! I think I liked T-Rex better though. It's cooler for me to hang out with the dinosaurs since they're so... nonexistent I guess in real life. Plus, the Rainforest Cafe was SO much louder. However, we were at T-Rex at the slow time of day, so maybe it's normally louder too. I don't know. All I know is, I think both of them are worth a try! Hope you get to go some day! (And I know what you mean about the pins. I've become obsessed and I have a list of ones that I want to buy when I go back. IT'S A SICKNESS!)

6. I think I literally say this every time someone says that to me, but seriously, I cannot believe I'm going back so soon. I honestly don't think it'll hit me until I'm actually there. (That's what happened last time! I had to keep asking myself if everything was real. )

Where do you guys live in VA? You made great time back! I keep thinking that when we move to Norfolk that it will be doable to drive to Disney, but then I remember that I'd have to spend 12+ hours in a car with a toddler and a baby. Hmmm, maybe not the best plan

2. Let's see... we'll be in Disneyland for Christmas 2012 but we should be moved down to Orlando by Christmas 2013. Or at the very least we'll be down there for our cruise so I'll probably be able to convince my boyfriend to spend some days at Disney World! I will see that show soon!!

3. You did! Somewhere. I think? I sort of picked a random page and started reading from there. I'm just very passionate about my craft root beer and will take any opportunity to talk about it.

4. I'll have to watch that! I'm terrible at remembering to watch people's videos since I'm usually reading updates (when I actually get around to reading them... ) at work or when the TV's on so sound isn't really appropriate.

I still think Lilo would be way better as a real person compared to the weird plastic head, even though the age thing would be off there too. Maybe because Lilo doesn't act "little girl"-ish? She's a little more grounded/sarcastic/no high pitched voices.

5. I love the hidden mickey pins and the characters in ride vehicles pins (both on disneystore). Partly because you get 2 pins for the price of 1 and partly because adorable. I really want a pin of Buzz playing Toy Story Mania!! It's vital to my mental health. Or something?

6. That's so cool - I'm sure your trip will be here in no time! July always goes so quickly. I'm so jealous about your trip; I keep trying to convince my boyfriend to do a quick trip to Disneyland because we have APs (also, my parents and his parents are coming up to vist the last two weeks in July. PERFECT time for a Disney trip in my opinion ). But nope. Have to hold out until December. But I'll hopefully be living in Orlando come January (or August), so I guess I can't complain too much!

I haven't been to T-Rex either, though I keep seeing such great reviews of it on people's TRs, I may have to try it at some point. Although it would be hard to choose that at lunch over Earl of Sandwich.

Saying goodbye to Disney is always the toughest. I know what you mean about refusing to look at the exit sign. It's like, if I don't see us leaving WDW property, than I can't accept that it's actually happening.


DTD is a great way to postpone leaving. I've done it many a time. Plus, sitting back and people watching for a bit is a nice way to collect your departure day blues.


Man, it's crazy when you get home and go "exactly 24 hours ago..." sometimes that's just as sad as leaving!


Now, I can't wait for you to go on your next trip and come back and tell us all about it.

We sometimes go to DTD on our last day, too, for the last minute gathering of things to give others and to stock up for ourselves until the next trip.

Isn't it nice to wear short sleeves in December? I've been in WDW when people were swimming on Christmas Day and on NYE. Nice.

We just left Thursday, and although I know I have to come back to real life to make money to go again, I miss it already.

I think I'd seen you around the DIS before the trip but had no idea you were going at the same time. It was probably the same for you! Plus I was still pretty 'new' at that point.

I don't remember! Well if it's any... anything, my brother LOVES root beer. It's his favorite, and he's already asked me about 1,002 times if they have root beer at Disney.

I have to agree with that... the big plastic head weirds me out a bit. I feel like for Pete, it's a little different because you're never seeing him up close. Since Lilo does meet and greets it would be more obvious that she was a 'woman playing a young girl.' I don't know... it's a sticky subject!

I LOVE THOSE TOO. I really want them all. I want to start out my pin collection with awesome ones.

It's funny, because usually July goes quickly for me too. This year, though, it's been S-L-O-W as molasses. It's only the SEVENTH and I feel like it should be the 507th or something. GOODNESS. Exactly. First of all, it's just silly that they make us leave anyways. Then they say goodbye and it's like adding salt to the wound. Ugh. WHY?

It is! If I had my way, I'd have probably been at a park or something because I'm just THAT WAY, but Downtown was definitely nice too, and T-Rex was a lot of fun!

Oh it was SUCH a weird feeling. It didn't feel real. It's like, as soon as you're home, Disney feels like it's a million miles away and that it happened years ago. It's insane.

My mom said that maybe (probably) we could go on a short,inexpensive trip in November! But, it'd probably only be about 3-4 days and we'd be staying off property!!!! So we'd be staying with my 21 y/o sister's bf's house insted of AoA! And honestly I was really looking forward to something different than All-Stars! I was really upset when she told me this! And then she says and no DINING PLAN!That means no 50's Prime Time, Kona Cafe,Ohana,Le Cellier,Chef Mickey's, or Crystal Palace! WHAT?! But eventually I chilled out and was like hey, you're going back to DISNEY! Stop complaining! At least you wont gain 200 pounds from all the food!

But then she told me...

We could probably take another trip after that during our BIRTHDAYS during February 2013! Mine,my twin sister's,and my mom's! Ours is the 7th and her's the 6th. We do this a lot.. we've done it about 4 times and LOVED IT! This past Feb., we stay at French Quarter Riverside and had the DP and OH MY LORD the food was ahhhhhmazing! And mom said that we might do it again if they come out with a pin code that would discount the room and dining! (Which is what we had last time)

But, I wanted to say I just read the last chapter, and I know exactly what you mean.... it's like they put a huge bubble around Disney and outside the bubble is sadness and despair... the real world. SIGH!
Sounds like you had a good trip... pretty cool Ryan made it so far in the AIE.... I've decided I"m going to quit my job just before we go to Disney... then I'm going to do the AIE, win and then go on to win AE and then just be a rock star... who needs work?! Not me!

AHHHHH NO WAY!!! That's so exciting!! One time I took a 3 night/2 day trip and it was SO short but we got SO MUCH DONE. So you can totally do it!!! And listen, you can still go to a lot of those places and pay out of pocket! If yall split, you could save money! Obviously you couldn't split at the buffets or 'Ohana but at the other places. In December we went to Crystal Palace for breakfast (the only meal I'll probably ever go to there) and payed OOP and it wasn't terrible! We went to 50's too! You could totally do it!

But, I wanted to say I just read the last chapter, and I know exactly what you mean.... it's like they put a huge bubble around Disney and outside the bubble is sadness and despair... the real world. SIGH!
Sounds like you had a good trip... pretty cool Ryan made it so far in the AIE.... I've decided I"m going to quit my job just before we go to Disney... then I'm going to do the AIE, win and then go on to win AE and then just be a rock star... who needs work?! Not me!
Anyway... sounds like you had alot of fun. Can't wait to see all of your suven-ears!

OMG, I loved your tr!! So great. I love all the Friends references. Yes...I got them all!! Is there even another voice to read "This is BRAND NEW INFORMATION" in? Didn't think so!

I am a little devastated its over. But am looking forward to the souvenir post!! Yay!! And, and...you're leaving again so soon! So at least I have that. lol that is where you "beat" me. I went the first time the past 3 years (first with parents, then with friends)...but no trip this year. I'm literally devastated.

The good news is my boyfriends dad is wanting to fly us out for a DISNEY CRUISE and then spend some time with him in Florida. The bad news is...we would probably stay off property during the non-cruise portion. And go to other places like Universal and Sea World. I have my boyfriend convinced that going to Disney (with me, obviously) is THE BEST FREAKING THING EVER and I'm like "This trip with your dad DOESN'T COUNT if I don't get to stay on property and plan EVERY SINGLE DETAIL that I want. So we better get a repeat. Two trips next work would make it okay that I don't get to go this year. K thanks." The other thing is that not only is it us (and my son) and his dad, but his brother's family and his half-sister's family (who we've never met). So frustrating. But I'm not paying for most of it, so I guess I can't complain too much. (Rant over.)

I seriously can't wait to hear all about your next trip. Thank the Lord that I follow you on Twitter so I get to hear all about stuff instantly. Woohoo.
