"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

I'm on page 14 now (you're gonna probably get all these short posts from me cuz I'm so afraid I'll forget something I want to comment on!). I've laughed out loud several times now:rotfl: I've tried to keep quiet since my DH is sleeping next to me (I work night shift so I tend to stay up most of the night when I'm off:-/); he's rolled over and asked me what time it is a couple of times, so I haven't been entirely successful:rolleyes1. Its awesome that there are so many Friends fans on here, too! I can work something from a Friends episode into nearly any conversation; my coworkers can attest to that-I'm a total Friends nerd:happytv: Now back to your TR:surfweb:

Just read your first post and just had to comment! All the DW references brought a couple of tears to my eyes:goodvibes! I went to the World for the first time when I was 32 , so I've unfortunately got you beat. We have a trip planned for December, so I'm getting my fix by reading TRs. Y'all look like such a fun group!! Ok, so I'm headed back to page 1popcorn::!

Hi! I'm so glad you're reading along! Wow, you definitely have me beat! 32, how did you do it? I can't imagine waiting 11 extra years... I give you credit! :worship: How exciting that you have a trip planned! That's always such a good feeling.

Oh, and I love the Friends-like chapter titles!

Thank you! I just love that show, it's my favorite show ever.

Movin right along! And listen, I don't even mind the short posts! You do what you gotta do! :rotfl: Aw thank you! That's so sweet. Aw, well I'm glad my TR could entertain you if you weren't sleeping! Hahah that's awesome, I'm the same way! There's always some situation that reminds me of Friends. But yes, there are a lot of Friends fans around here! Anyways, thank you for your comments! I really appreciate them, and I'm glad to have you here! Hope you keep enjoying the TR! :goodvibes

so wait, you were dancing in the middle of the night while I was sleeping? ah man! why didn't I happen to get footage of that? haha! and yes! I love me some Prince Charming aka James aka David!!! I'll tell ya what though, you know who I love even more? Shannon and I seriously have this thing for Rumpelstiltskin aka Mr. Gold!!!!! I LOVE him!

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one!! Love the show and love Rump/Gold!!!

The One With the Third Park of the Day

December 15, 2011

After spending some time in the jingle jangle jungle full of holiday FUN, we had one more very important (and might I add, necessary) stop to make before we could leave Animal Kingdom.

Along the way...

SDC10667.jpg

SO remember when I told you all about my fear of scary things? Well, I’ve got another ‘fear confession’ to make… I’m also afraid of bugs. I mean all of them. Bugs, insects, and basically anything that can fly near me/crawl on me/make a buzzing/chirping sound around me. You name it, I’m scared of it. Yes, EVEN ladybugs (my first college dorm room was INFESTED with them) and BUTTERFLIES. I visited the Tennessee Aquarium once. They had a butterfly room. I RAN through it. Need I continue? The point is that I don’t like bugs. So you may find it surprising that we were headed here.

SDC11207.jpg

BUT, does it’s tough to be a bug contain real, living bugs? NO, IT DOES NOT. :woohoo: Therefore I’m not afraid of it. In fact, I love it. I love it so much that it is on my list of THREE THINGS that I MUST DO on every trip to the Animal Kingdom.

Come on yall, SINGING AND DANCING BUGS that just want to help us out and in return, we don’t kill them. Seems fair to me! Also, the TERMITE-ator exists. “I’ll be back.” AND the best joke… “I hope none of you are allergic to ACID.” HAHAHAHAHA it cracks me up! PLUS, A BUG’S LIFE! FLIK! Come on! A Bug’s Life is SUCH a good movie. It’s honestly one of my very favorites!

I don’t even know how to explain myself to yall. Yeah, I’m deathly afraid of bugs, but one of my favorite attractions and one of my favorite movies both revolve around them. I’m weird, okay? Let’s move on.

I ALWAYS WANT TO KEEP THE BUG GLASSES. (I never do. I’m a good citizen.)

I will now serenade you with the theme song to it’s tough to be a bug.

“If you like vegetables, fresh fruit, and flowers, give thanks to us bugs for our marvelous powers. If it weren’t for the fact that we like the taste, you’d be out there wallowing in shoulder high waste. SHOULDER HIGH WASTE!”

Okay, have I talked enough about it’s tough to be a bug? More than likely. With that, it's time to say goodbye to Animal Kingdom. :sad2:

Strangely enough, the only real live animals we saw at ANIMAL KINGDOM were these mingos.

I took another picture of the Christmas tree because the lights were on!

SDC12297.jpg

After I took that picture, I took a picture for a nice couple, and caught up with my group at our bus stop! It was time to head to our THIRD park of the day…

Hollywood Studios! :dance3:

To be honest, I don't remember one little thing about this bus ride. How odd. All I know is, we made it to Hollywood!

I was in love with this window display in 2010, so I was happy to see it again!

Yes, they KICK their legs. It's the cutest thing ever, I tell ya.

Welcome to 'tinsel' town!

We had a few goals in mind for Hollywood Studios that evening. Our first stop was a little back alley in Los Angeles, where we would be meeting up with a pretty awesome rock band and riding in a stretch (I mean, SUPER STRETCH) limo.

SDC11063.jpg

Amanda opted out of this one as well, so the rest of us loaded her down with all of our stuff and got in the standby line! The wait time was listed as 30 minutes, but honestly, it felt like an hour! I didn't really mind though, because that line is awesome. It also provides a PERFECT view of the Hollywood Tower Hotel! We would always see the doors open, the lights flash, and then hear the SCREAMS. Hahah, what fun.

There is one thing about the line that always baffles me though, and that is the fact that posters of Selena Gomez and Mitchell Musso are in the same area as the poster of Queen. I know they are (were) Disney Channel stars, but I would not in a million years consider them rock stars!

Ugh, seriously though, that line is awesome. Next time I must bring my camera! When we got into the pre-show room, I was happy to be reunited with Steven Tyler. (Can we talk about how he's doubly represented at Hollywood Studios? RNRC and now the American Idol Experience!)

We were all really excited to ride! It's Ryan's FAVORITE, and it was Sally's first time riding! Woo! I told Sally to do the 'rock on' sign at the very beginning for the ride photo! Though, I'll be honest, I always accidentally do the sign language "I love you" sign instead of rock on. :rotfl: In my defense, they're very similar and I'm a little dumb. In the ride photo (that I couldn't take a picture of because of my lack of camera) I probably was sending mixed signals, because I was doing the "I love you" sign and sticking out my tongue. :confused3 Anyways, we all enjoyed the ride! It's always so exciting and awesome. LOVE IN AN ELEVATOR! :cool2:

It had gotten dark in Florida while we were in LA! After we met back up with poor Amanda, who had probably been bored out of her mind, we headed back down Sunset. The Beauty and the Beast stage show was going on and I had another one of my 'no shame' moments where I marched down the street to the beat of 'Be Our Guest' while waving my arms around. There were probably a few chorus line kicks too, but I can't be certain. Happy! :yay:

On the way to our next destination, we got a little bit lost...

Continued in Next Update

It's Tough to be a Bug! Oh man. You don't have to sit forward or put your feet up?! I DO! When I went with my friend back in 2008, we went into that show and I immediately put my feet up on the back of the seat in front of me and scooted forward. She looked at me funny, but once the show was over, she realized exactly why I did that! :rotfl:

HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! I just looooove RnR and Tower of Terror!

So cute that you were dancing down the street to Be Our Guest :)

yay rockin roller coaster! I followed you on twitter even though I rarely go on there! I prefer facebook actually!

Ahhh I can't do It's Tough To Be A Bug!!! The bugs and the stingers and the acid freak me out! :scared1:

I love all of the holiday decorations in DHS! It always looks so fun!

I love It's Tough to be a Bug!

And RNRC is my favorite ride at DHS....with TSM a close second! But what's not to love about RNRC?!? A fun coaster that even goes upside down PLUS music by a great rock band....PERFECTION! :goodvibes

So now I'm up to page 24!:)

:yay::yay::yay:BLT!!!:yay::yay::yay:
That's number one on my list of resorts that I would love to stay at!!! We would have chosen it as our home resort when we bought into the DVC, but we got a really good deal on Animal Kingdom Villas which was my second choice. We'll definitely be using our points for BLT at some point.

I completely understand the tearfulness!! I even get teary at the commercials! I don't feel so bad since my DH (who rarely cries) gets teary-eyed at all things Disney, too:lovestruc He's as Disney-crazy as I am:cool1:

Festival of the Lion King is one of my favorites! I recently learned that some of the Tumbler Monkeys were Olympic gymnasts!!

OMG sooo yup, as you already know, I followed you on twitter. Done and done.

I had no idea you guys were heading for ITTBAB but I WILL NOT GO ON THIS. I am like you and I do not like bugs and I've heard this is terrifying so I am very interested to see your reaction. (Like you, I read and will take notes during a TR, it makes it so I don't miss anything to comment on!)

That being said, love the photo of you guys in the glasses. The 3D glasses are pretty fabulous!

Okay how do you even LIKE THIS show?! I am one of those people that has a hard time separating real from fake during like, movies and shows and haunted houses, so I am ridiculously terrified if it involves something I do not like in real life. As soon as I feel any sort of bug-like thing touching me I can guarantee I would be up and out of my seat, immediately at an exit, hahaha. I give you a lot of credit!

Oh but if there is a spider in my house, as much as I hate them, I try to save it and put it outside. I feel guilty killing it.

I love that Christmas tree in AK! It's so pretty.

YAY for HS! I do enjoy that park! Aaaaand you visited Aerosmith.. Didn't you get the memo that Selena is now a ROCK STAR?! I love that ride though, especially the beginning just because it's like.. BOOM and you're smiling the whole time. I wish it was a little bit longer but otherwise it's so much fun.

HAHA I am laughing so hard at your "Be Our Guest" dance. If I saw you I would've probably given you a high five, haha. Amazing.

I feel like HS is so easy to get lost in! I had to ask someone to tell me where the Writer's Stop was because I just felt so confused!

Um yeah ...... DD and I cannot do the bugs. Whether they are real or not, that attraction is scary for us. She cried the whole time and refuses to go back. and I don't wanna either.

I love the Bug show (which is what my little cousin used to call it)! And RnRC is so thrilling, even though I don't ride it every single time we go to DHS. I'm totally a ToT girl! I'm all for singing out loud and doing leg kicks as I walk the streets of Hollywood...you go, girl!

I' subbing to your TR (better later then never). You are subbed to a lot of the same TRs as I am.

Read your last update first and I must agree that I love that window at HS. It's so cute!

I'm a Steven Tyler fan too! There is something about him that is very likable!

I hate bugs too! I'm deathly afraid of bees...like, not "oh, I don't like bees"...I RUN from them, screaming like a crazy person. It's awful. And I don't like butterflies either! Far away, sure, but when they are coming near me, same thing with bees, I run screaming. I tried to go in the butterfly tent at Epcot 2 years ago on my Disneymoon, and I peeked my head in, because Brandon was already in there, and a butterfly flew RIGHT at my head. I screamed and ran through, ducking the whole way. Everyone stopped and stared. As I was running out, I heard Brandon tell everyone "she's the only person afraid of butterflies". Embarrassing. :rotfl2:

So I've never done It's Tough to Be a Bug. I know they're all fake but I'm too afraid. It sounds cute, though!

Yay, DHS! I love that window display with the Mickey ornaments too, they're so cute! :) And RNRC...I feel like no matter what the posted wait time is, you're in for a long wait! I do like looking at the ToT from the line, though! I was never a huge Aerosmith fan until I went on this ride...now I have most of their CD's on my Ipod and whenever I listen to them, I think of Disney!

Oh, and I'd follow you on twitter, but I'm not on there! :confused3 I just feel like I'm not interesting enough! :rotfl:

Bug's Life is one of my favorite movies EVER. It's so underrated. But I was obsessed with it as a child.

Oh my God the posters in the Rock N Roller Coaster queue are SO outdated. They're like Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Disney Mania 5, etc. I mean, it's better than something like Shake it Up, I suppose. New Disney Channel shows make me cringe :headache:

It's Tough To Be A Bug is growing on me. Apparently I was wrong and we WILL be going to Animal Kingdom for a little bit on this next trip so I'll be trying to get Shannon to go on it and Dinosaur.

While ya'll were on Rock N' Rollercoaster, I got to chill with the foreign tour group that decided they all needed to stop and take a smoke break. not cool. gotta love those tour groups, haha.

Kadence wants me to tell you that she HATES, absolutely HATES bugs and anything to do with bugs and that also includes It's Tough to be a Bug!

She cried and screamed though the whole thing, crawled up on dads lap and would nave climbed into his pocket if she could have.

I on the other hand loved it!

RnR was fun, but since I don;t have a riding buddy, it may be awhile before I get back on.

Hey, At least you weren't doing the backwards peace sign!
