"You Guys Are Cast Members... Right?" - A December 2011 TR

EEEP! I just now found this TR and as I am also writing up a TR full of twenty-somethings, I figure I'll follow along!

Okay, so I went to see where the last time I posted was, and OY do I have a lot of catching up to do! I will try to not make this the longest post ever.


I noticed the same thing when we were there in December in regards to how hot it was. I wore jeans bc I expected it to be a little brisk, but by mid-day I was so freaking hot.

I love your picture of the monorail from the TTA! I feel like it could be a postcard.

I DO remember the "Staten Island?" quote from It Takes Two! They need to put that movie on Netflix Watch Instantly. December was my first time on the ferry also because a monorail had just left. Glad to say I've ridden it!

I started frolicking down Main Street and waving my arms and singing “WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES THEN YOU REALIZE, ANY DREAM IS POSSIBLE!!!!”

LOL. This is like me going down Main Street singing "I'M WALKING RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE OF MAIN STREET U-S-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Haunted Mansion is in my top 3 rides. In December we rode it 3 times in one day. Love.

I had no idea the buildings for Small World and Haunted Mansion were so close - I definitely brought it up on GoogleMaps after reading your post - that's SO WEIRD.

We skipped the carousel for the same reason - what's the fun in riding if you can't view the scenery all around it?

Yayyyyy for saving Tigger!!! Your day in MK sounds SO much like ours from December. It was also my first time doing Winnie the Pooh - though I did go on the ride way back when it was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I really loved it! Definitely going to video tape it when I'm there in 3 weeks (wooooooo).

Philharmagic makes me tear up so much. Thank God for those 3-D glasses so I could hide it from my husband, hahaha.

Big Thunder Mountain is another of my favorite rides. I have to go on it multiple times when I'm there - there's always so much to look at all around, I still feel like I haven't seen everything. Sad it's down for refurb.

Okay, I feel like a newb. What two upside down astronaut guys on Space Mountain?

Ahhh I'm doing Astro Orbiter for the first time during Leap Day. I've avoided it because I sometimes get motion sickness when I go in repetitive circles, but I've heard it looks amazing up there at night, seeing Tomorrowland all lit up. I'll just make sure it's no where near meal time, haha.

OMG THANK YOU! I'm so glad someone else remembers that! Yeah exactly! My first choice would always be the monorail, but it's nice to have ridden the ferry too!

Thank GOD for glasses that allow us to cry behind them. We don't want to scare the tourists.

I love it too! Oh gosh, I can't tell you where I'm looking when I'm on that ride. I'm so used to roller coasters that have no theming or anything to look at, so I usually just look at my hands or the lap bar or the sky or something. MUST LOOK AT THE DETAILS NEXT TIME!!!

Don't feel bad about that because I didn't remember them at all! It's pretty much at the beginning of the ride when you're ascending... it's hard to explain kinda! Look for them next time!

Oh I hear ya on the motion sickness. For some reason, crazy rides don't make me sick, but car rides do? Go figure. But you should definitely ride it! I can't say I know what it looks like when Tomorrowland is lit up when it isn't Christmas time, but I bet it's still beautiful!

Oh my gosh. I have the EXACT same problem. And it's especially weird because I shared a room with my sister for like 16 years, so you'd THINK I'd be used to it... but no. I totally get it! It's also terrible when you can hear the other people snoring. Omg.
