and what he doesn't tell you is that he is facing surgery soon on his knee - he has really lived with some challenges and lots of pain and he still takes the time to think of all of us - I am very very blessed to consider Andy, Hazel, his mom - in fact his whole family is a blessing to know.

Hey Andy,
I agree with what everyone else has said. Your quick response to my posts and PM's make me feel so special.
I'm an orthopedic nurse. So you are having knee surgery. I think post-op you need a private nurse, your sweetie wife , lots of good healthy food , warm soaks in the sun for extra Vit. D, water therapy for increase mobility--hmmmmmmmmm....where could we find all of that in one place?

If he did NOTHING else, his postcards make kids (little and big) smile. But he does so much more, he is one of those "special" people that God gives us to make our lives easier.

VM I had totol knee replacements in both knee's so I know what you are going through--being the kind of man you are I know this won't get you down. Just remember keep moving after surgery, lots of stretches and ice and heat. You'll be on your next cruise before you know it. It will be the best therapy.

This morning I received in the mail from Andy, a DCL puzzle that he made himself and two cabin door signs that he also handmade himself. I had posted that I was looking for creative ways to surprise my kids with the cruise. I loved the idea of a savenger hunt for puzzle pieces that when put together showed the "Magic". He PM'd me that he could probably do this and we emailed about cabin door signs too. Anyway...after all that Andy and his family went through last week, I received the puzzle and the signs (one for each of our staterooms) today. The DIS is lucky to have Verandah Man!!! Thanks again Andy!

I am privileged to have Andy as part of my Disney experience …

In May, I will be taking my surrogate granddaughter on the May 27th Wonder cruise. This trip is in celebration of Devina’s 8th birthday. Her father was recently killed in Iraq while serving in the US Air Force. Andy heard of her situation. His out-pouring of love and compassion has been heart warming and appreciated. It would be redundant to list all he has done for Devina, those of you who know him can imagine his response.

Thanks, Andy for bringing joy to a little girl's hurting heart.
