I painlessly saved the balance on my DCL ressie by having $120 auto-deducted from my checking each month. Add that to all my referrals and bonuses and I am a happy camper!

I totally agree! ING is a great savings tool. It was so easy to open an account that I am thinking of opening one for my husband and 5 children as well. HAPPY SAVINGS TO ALL!

I agree, too. This ING thing has helped me save for our Disney trip more than any single other thing. In just 1 1/2 weeks, we've gotten $195 free from opening our 4 accounts, making 7 referrals and 1 TurboTax bonus. This is better than eBay!!

Mine is growing too and I may transfer some money into a one year CD as well, that rate is around 4%. That way I won't touch my Disney funds or be tempted to just take alittle because I never seem to put it back.

I first learned of ING on this board, but since then I've noticed lots of talk about it on the Motley Fool and Dave Ramsey boards. Everyone has had nothing but good things to say about it. However, I STILL cannot convince my friends and family. I guess they just don't get worked up about saving.

I am not being mean,but if we dont stop opening up new threads about this,they may not let us post at all.Beth has ask us to keep it in the one thread and we keep going againist what she has asked us to do.I dont think its fair that people keep doing this.They dont have to let us do this at all.

It was my understanding that the other thread was mainly about info as to ING for newbies etc....I see this thread just as any other where someone is happy about something and they share. I don't see what is unfair about it or where it is any different from someone posting about Q&C's for the 10 hundreth time. The FAQ threads should just be about FAQ's pertaining to whatever it is the FAQ is about, I hate when I am looking at a FAQ thread and there is stuff like what is in this thread in the FAQ and I have to read every post to find my answers. This thread is no different than any other regular thread IMHO. Where is it different from someone posting about CBR, there is a FAQ for that yet no one jumps on someone for posting a new thread.

To me as long as no one is soliciting their ING referrals, this type of thread is no different than any other.

Well, if you just do a quick search you will see that BethR has locked all new ING thread no matter what 'kind' of ING thread it was. They were taking over the Budget Board. Some look at it as trying to get your name out there for more referrals.

I agree that it should ALL be in one place the way BethR wants it to be.

People who have ING accounts wouldn't normally be reading the ING FAQ thread- that's why I posted this. I agree that there are many threads started that don't need to be but I just thought I would share this for those ING acct. holders who may not have known.

It is simply not true that all ING threads are locked BTW (see below). I think that if we follow the rules regarding referrals it is ok. I don't think anyone is likely to read 20 pages of the ING FAQ to learn that the rate has gone up to 2.2%
Anyway- sorry if I caused some kind of trouble here- Beth is in Disneyworld and this thread will surely be on page 5 of the Budget forum by the time she gets back so hopefully it won't be an issue.

On another note, speaking of referrals, why is it that when I send referrals to anyone for anything no one ever signs up? I just don't get it. Especially with this one and FREE MONEY.
