You Flew All The Way Here With PIXIE DUST?! UD 8/22: Final Thoughts :)

Woohoo for Lauren! Mohegan Sun is pretty cool. I was DYING to see Taylor Swift there, but that concert sold out FAST!! :sad2:

How big is the place? I'm assuming smaller than the Boston Garden?

Anyway, this is the other mom's responsibility. I've already dealt once with the stress of getting online and trying for JB tickets; it's her turn now! I think she said they were going on sale today so I guess I'll find out later how she did.

Yay for another installment!

Slightly smaller than the Garden, yeah. Probably the size of the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence.

I was SUPPOSED to see Demi Lovato tomorrow night, but she cancelled/postponed 3 of her East Coast shows (Providence, Manchester NH, and Atlantic City). Now it's not til October 30!

Ah, well. At least it's not totally cancelled.

Hey great report. Im sorry about the medical issue. :( Im glad your doing alot better. Congrats on your job. It sucks that when you went to Disney..Hurricane Faye was there. Although the plus side....not that long of a wait on most rides. Anyway keep on posting :). xoxoxox

Aww, the goodbye post. :sad1: But it must come, and with the ending of this trip...you can start your PTR for your tentative August trip. :goodvibes

That's unfortunate! But the concert was amazing!!! So you have a good time to look forward to.

Final Thoughts Post

Final Thoughts :)

First, let's do the goods and bads of each day.

Day 1: Arrival & EPCOT (I)

THE GOOD:

*Decent arrival time.

*ME relatively easy service to use.

*POR a beautiful resort. Room already ready to go upon arrival.

*No waits on rides!

*Dinner @ Rose & Crown--very yummy!

THE BAD:

*Limited time in World Showcase.

*Not the best seats for Illuminations.

Day 2: MK

THE GOOD:

*5 rides done in less than 1 hour!

*Low wait times.

*Lunch @ CHH--great as usual.

*Good parade seats.

*Hottie Peter Pan ;)

*Dinner @ CP--exceptionally good.

THE BAD:

*Distorted view of Wishes. Top of the Main St. Train Station? Not all what it's cracked up to be.

DAY 3: BB & DTD

THE GOOD:

*Low wait times.

*Hottest day of the trip, and it was spent at BB.

*Fun park, good slides.

*Dinner @ WPC--quadruple yum! 4-cheese pasta? YUM. Get it!

*Pin Trading a HUGE success.

*Virgin Megastore and Hoipolloi--great stores.

THE BAD:

*WAYYY too many stairs @ BB. It's the fastest way to get to the top of Mt. Gushmore, but your feet will not be happy with you.

*More shading needed @ BB. The paths get very hot.

*Boat from POR ---> DTD. Good? Yes. Beat the bus? Yes. Fun? Yes. Slow?DEFINATELY! Only worth it if you're the closest hotel to DTD (which I believe is SS).

Day 4: O'hana, EPCOT (II), & Hotel

THE GOOD:

*The Poly is a beautiful hotel. I'd love to stay here!

*Breakfast @ O'hana--pretty good.

*Lowish wait times.

*Single rider line @ Test Track.

*Funny story from Innoventions (West? East?) that involves mom and a little British girl--see below.

*POR pool--nice.

THE BAD:

*Test Track down most of the time we were at EPCOT.

*Lunch @ Electric Umbrella--so not worth it. Mediocre.

*Soarin'--not worth a wait. Too much hype over this ride.

Day 5: AK & Chef Mickey's

THE GOOD:

*NO wait times due to HF (Hurricane Faye)!

*Finding Nemo: The Musical--amazing! Worth seeing!

*Expedition: EVEREST--4 times. Need I say more?

*GREAT parade seats. New favorite WDW parade!

*Lunch @ FTB--pretty yummy (though I dearly miss my CS Tusker House).

*Dinner @ CM--mediocre food, good dessert, and great character interaction.

*All-around great character interaction(s) this day!

THE BAD:

*Absoultely none! Best day of the trip!

Day 6: DHS

THE GOOD:

*Again, low wait times.

*My favorite park/rides/3D show.

*Dinner @ Mama Melrose--yum! Yum and yum!

*Fantasmic!

*4 times on ToT!

THE BAD:

*Lunch @ PTC--good food, bad service. Not BAD bad, just not in-character.

*2 ADR's in one day? Not the best idea.

*Villians in Vouge store has been severely cut down. A shame, I liked that store.

Day 7: Homecoming

THE GOOD:

*Fast ME to MCO.

*No flight delay.

THE BAD:

*Leaving WDW. Duh!

*SouthWest not doing ME luggage services on return flights.

THE HOTEL:

GOOD:

Excellent location. Fast bus service, and quick trips to each park. Good gift shop, decent restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere. BEAUTIFUL hotel and grounds. Nice pool(s).

BAD:

Slow boat service. Quite a bit of a walk from the furthest bayous (log cabins/Alligator Bayou buildings) to the main lobby. Maid service could've been better (lack of towel animals).

FUNNY EPCOT (II) STORY:

You all know the "Where's The Fire?" exhibit in Innoventions. Mother dear was putting her camera away after our Disney Visa Meet 'n' Greet. She sat on the kitchen table in the 'kitchen' room of the 'house'. This adorable little British girl, about 4 years old (there were a lot of Brits there, as it was Euro Free Dining) goes up to mom and says:

"Whatchoo doin' on the kitchen table? There's a chair over there!"

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We teased mom about that for the rest of the trip. That girl sure told mom off!

IN CONCLUSION, it was a lovely, lovely trip that was enjoyed by all.

I shall start a PTR when we get the 'definate' on a summer 2010 trip!

Adios :)

Hi Meg!

I'd much rather say "Adios" than goodbye!

Well, it's really "until we meet again," right?! ::yes::

Fantastic news about having another trip to look forward to!!

Have a great school year and I'll be seeing you on the PTR board...

Thanks for reading! Can't wait to hear about MSSHP!

Couldn't agree more! It is way way way too over-emphasized.

Looking forward to it! :goodvibes
I guess I expected too much out of Soarin'. Though I will say I was VERY impressed with Everest.

Not sure if we're going yet...I've been pricing trips all week. It's a year away til when we're (possibly) going, so we've got time. We're hoping for a dining offer!

i'm also an only child, and im bring my best friend with me when we go to WDW in December... were there any problems? well like not really problems but were there anythings that were like.... well i dont really know how to explain it. lol. you have some really great pictures. :cool1:
