At Herbie's Drive-In (Studios, next to LMA Stunt Show):

Nachos with cheese (tostitos with nacho cheese in a cup) -- $3.99
Assorted chips (includes tostitos) -- $2.69
Side of cheese (not printed on menu, but a register quickkey) -- $1.00

And on an unrelated note --
I mentioned this on the Resorts board, but it's also worth noting here. Picabu at the Dolphin is now charging a 20% service charge on food & beverage purchases.

I dont think thats a bad price for nachos unless they are very small. The other 2 are ridiculous. Im curious as to what that food is in the pic and how much it cost lol.

I think the OP is saying it is cheaper to buy a bag of chips and a side of cheese and make your own nachos.

And their signature pic is from the F&WF.

Total.....absolute......brain poot. :rotfl2: OP's post went over my head like a kite.

30 cents cheaper to buy chips and cheese separately....same effect as if you order the nachos they will give you some Tostitos and a cup of cheese.

Best to buy them together if you are using a snack credit though.

20%, for what? It's a freaking cafeteria. That's ridiculous.

I think picabu is now on my list of places not to go too thanks for that tip!

I think it's worth the extra 30 cents for me to not have to pour the cheese on my chips. NOT!

Thanks for the heads up about Picabu. That's craptastic. Buffeterias don't deserve a 20% service charge. Sheesh.

If you order it as cheese nachos, it's served exactly the same way as if you ordered the 2 items separately. They hand you a 2 oz (I think.. it might have been 4 oz) plastic cup with nacho cheese sauce sitting in a paper container and the bag of Tostitos.

Picabu is a buffeteria. I could accept a 10% service charge since they do bring you the items that need additional prep and they do bus your table. However, I do not accept paying a service charge in line with room service or a full service restaurant. Even the default gratuity on a TIW discounted dinner is only 18%. I do wonder if the service charge is waived if you get the food "to go".

I was happy to use a snack credit for nachos with cheese at TL this last week. I think the price was $3.69. They handed me a bag of Tostitos and a little cup of cheese. Kids devoured it. Good use of 1 credit.
