They are in their 60's, maybe. Their son who is in his late 20's just moved back in :earseek:

Reminds me of that old episode of Roseanne!!! Her neighbors were about 80 and didn't own curtains or blinds!!! They couldn't help but look!!! :earseek:

"Hey look, ugly naked guy has a naked friend!"

"OH MY GOD, THAT'S OUR FRIEND!"

A girl friend of mine has a neighbor who doesn't close her curtains. Her house is on the corner and my friend is right behind her. When I go visit, she reminds me not to look as I turn the corner...the lady is a bit nutty and likes to walk around naked in the house! :scared1:
Not to mention the yard, and mowing the grass in just a shirt, yes, JUST a shirt! :crazy2: :scared:
She does all this when she's not yelling at the squirrels to get out of her trees.... :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I needed a little levity tonight. . .thanks!

Funny you would mention this. We have a subdivision in town, about 4 years old. The houses are all starters in price but are quite large. . .most are 2 stories. About 20 of them back up to a 4 lane road. 10 of the 20 houses have no privacy window treatments of any kind! When you drive by you see into their LRs, DRs, Kitchens & BRs. My DSis and I have always thought it bizzare! Is it a design/taste thing with the young or lack of money? Too goldfish in a bowl for me!

We have no blinds on our LR windows, it's a design thing. I have a really nice valance that's it. Yep you can see right into my house. Of course it's the formal LR and we pretty much never use it, but if you're really nosy you can peer in through to my dining room and watch us eat! ;)

We DO have blinds on all the bedroom windows though! :teeth:

We don't close curtains downstairs ever but the house next to us close enough to see in has a window air conditioning so she can't see in ours anyway. Upstairs I always close the shades at night. I try to leave all curtains open in the day because my cat loves to sit in the windows.

We have neighbors only on one side that moved in Memorial Day of this year. They have still never put up a single curtain or shade in ANY window. Not a problem usually except that their younger son has an upstairs bedroom window that perfectly aligns with my bedroom window (there is about 25 or 30 feet between the houses). He has a habit of watching TV at 3 a.m and I'm always waking up thinking it's lightening outside because I can see the light flash from his TV (which faces his window) on my bedroom wall! I have shades but when the AC is off I open them a little to let the air in.

being in this position - lack of money! heheh and I'm not a huge fan of window treatments to begin with.

so funny...we were taking our "after dinner walk" last night...and since it gets darker earlier now...I notcied that you can see RIGHT INTO our house. (the front faces woods the back faces a school...so no HUGE deal really. It's a new construction house - well, now it's 2 years old. heheh) I commented on this to DH.

He went online when we got home to find some blinds for our back doors (full glass). we're gonna go check them out later this week at lowes. heheh

we do have blinds in the bathrooms/bedrooms...but the living room/dining room/great room/kitchen are all bare.

We dodged a bullet here - when the house next door was being built they wanted a glass block wall on the outside for their shower. Our kitchen windows were right across - right here where the computer is! DH finally caught them during one inspection to tell them - and they ended up with tiny windows at the top of the shower instead!

It's a design thing with us also... You can see in all our front windows... it's only into the kitchen & formal living room.... Nobody even uses the LR, but I bet people often see us in the kitchen LOL... There's nobody behind us or to the side of us, but we do have wood blinds on those windows... I am totally not into window treatments, except these pretty wood blinds we have :cheer2:

I never close our curtains but our bedrooms and bathroom windows are on the back of the house which is very private. It's heavily treed and backs up onto conservation land -- I'm sure the deer may have complaints but that's what they get for eating my plants :)

Umm.. I don't close the blinds into my living room. The furniture is in the way!!!

Hope that doesn't gross anyone out, but its not like I walk around naked in the living room...

I have seen the older man walking around in his underwear. :earseek:

We leave the blinds open plus keep the sex swing with furry hand-cuffs in the front room...our neighborhood is too boring. :teeth:

FYI.... Lowes has a great deal on Bali special order blinds this month...20% off

I can vouch that the customer service for Bali is first rate..

(I used to work there and still know many of the reps. ;) )

We're getting ready to order wood blinds for our front windows so I can finally take down those paper shades I put up last year when we moved in....
