Purchased our airfare yesterday.

I just need to find good transfer company from London to Dover for my family of 7, any suggestions or recommendations?

My kids are getting excited.

My 14 yo and I are staying in London for 2 days after the cruise. We are staying at the Sheraton Park Tower on Knightsbridge. I've stayed there before and really liked the hotel. It's close to Hyde Park, and Harrods. We walked to Buckingham Palace. Took the tube to Covent Garden. We also walked to Kensington Palace and Oxford Street for shopping. Did the Hop On/Hop Off bus which was close by. I think it picked up at Marble Arch. Trip Advisor is a great source of info for hotels.

Just found this film on the Vasa posted on CC. It is really good and gives an overview. If you want to save some time at the museum and not watch the film there, this is a good option to watch ahead of time.. :O)

DD wants to meet some other girls. It's always more fun with kids your own age.

This is our 5th Disney Cruise.

We are staying in London from 6-19 to 6-24.
DD is huge Harry Potter fan.. Doing a HP walking tour in London and a trip to Oxford. Hitting some of the other big London sites.
We will be taking the train to Dover on the 24th.

After we return to Dover we will be going to Paris, via the ferry & train. Staying in a hotel near the airport and doing a Paris city tour and a day at Disneyland Paris. Returning back to Dallas July 9.

You're right! I forgot about that. The kids were a little disappointed initally, but it didn't really stop them for asking for them every night.

look at the park plaza victoria station. we bid $105 on priceline and got this 4 star hotel with great reviews.

try the national bus company. they run 'fun' fares. 3 pounds from london to dover in 2.5 hours. the return is more like 5 hours and more money but still cheap. but 5 hours is a lot of time on a bus. so, may use the train.

I am looking as well for service from Gatwick to Dover and back. Contacting one company and they were full for June 23. Still haven't heard back from www.dovertaxi.com on my email inquiry. If anyone has any suggestions with contact info, much appreciated!

We are using a company called Original Berlin Walks (berlinwalks.de). They are picking us up in Warnemunde, driving us to Berlin, giving us a tour with places and things that we put together with them, and then driving us back to Warnemunde. The cost is reasonable, and when we saw how much it would cost to do Berlin on Disney, this company almost looks cheap. The only downside is the uncertainty about returning on time so we don't miss the ship. If you travel to Berlin with Disney, it's a non-issue. We had a lot of email changes with them about this risk, and ultimately we were satisfied that they know how to do this. They said they've never had a problem as they monitor traffic conditions all day. My DH pointed out that they would have trouble getting business if they caused a client to miss his or her ship, which is true. So we're using them. Another good company we found is Humboldt Tours. And I know that at least one of the St. Petersburg tour companies also offers tours in Berlin, at very reasonable prices.

Lynn, here is a link I had saved. I don't remember if I contacted them or not. We decided to go with Disney transfers. You could always do the same if a car service doesn't work out.
