You all make me look so smart

I am a bit of an overplanner and obsessed with information so I came to the DIS to help me with my affliction for my upcomming trip to DLR.

After some time reading and reading I think I am pretty much ready to enjoy our trip and not drive DH crazy, well maybe.

But an added side effect of reading here is that when I was in a discussion about DLR in the lunch room with a co worker yesterday I looked smart.

As we were talking another co worker said "wait a minute isn't this your first visit to Disney? How do you know so much?"

Of course I said yes I haven't been in years but I read the DIDboards and there are many vets on the board who share their experiences and knowledge.

So I thank those of you who post the super threads and share your experiences so those of us who need the information can have it and have a better experience.

And for making me look smart I will forever be in your debt.

You aren't giving yourself enough credit! You were smarter than the majority of fellow visitors, in that you went searching for more information in order to make your vacation experience better. Pat yourself on the back for finding these forums!

Although I must say I am forever happy I found everyone here first, instead of some of those other sites.

I couldn't agree with you more. The info I've gotten off these boards has made our trips to DL relatively stress free and have made our trips to the mouse far more enjoyable. Better than any book and far better with up to date and current info about the parks. Am currently researching a future trip to WDW in 2015, followed by another trip to DL in 2016 for Christmas (but DH doesn't know about that trip...yet). The info you get here blows away another other source for knowledge about the parks.

I agree with the OP. I am considered a Disney expert by all my friends, and that is largely due to having the DIS as a resource. Thank you all!

Disco, I get the same thing when I tell people about how much I like this board. Whatever.... haha But they always ask questions when they have a trip planned. If they only knew what they are missing. Those are the people who stand there with the blank look on their face.

Disco, I get the same thing when I tell people about how much I like this board. Whatever.... haha But they always ask questions when they have a trip planned. If they only knew what they are missing. Those are the people who stand there with the blank look on their face.

That happened to me once. A friend couple of ours, that always stood there with a blank look when I spew about Disney, decided that they wanted to hit DL. They approached me all sheepishly to ask some questions.
