Yosemite questions

We're going to Yosemite next week and will be driving through the Arch Rock entrance every day. Is there just one parking lot for Yosemite Valley or several? If there are several, where do you recommend parking. We want to do the two-hour bus tour the first day. How do you sign up for that? Can you make reservations in advance?

There is one parking lot for the day trippers, right in the heart of the valley.
Can't help on the tram tour. Do take some off the pavement walks!

Thank you for the parking information. We do have plans to do the trails, but I would like to do the bus tour first, just to get an idea which areas we might like to concentrate on.
