DMIL had surgery today. They were supposed to remove upto 2/3 of her pancreas (sp) to get the tumor. Apparently, the tumor was in the hardest place to get too. Also the ultra sound of her gall bladder showed no stones but they removed it because it "looked funny". It must have been having a bad hair day. They also removed her spleen. I'm not sure why they did that. I didn't know they were even looking at that thing.

DH called me at 10:15am to tell me that she was going in at 10:30. After the small chit chat, he starts yelling "I have to go. They just wheeled her by." I Screamed "Tell her that we love her!" Her surgery was supposed to take 1 1/2 to 2 hrs tops. 4 hours later, DH calls and says that she is still in the operating room. I get upset because that is way too long. He calls back 30 min later. She is out and NO CANCER!! They are sending a sample to somewhere to make sure and we should have the results in 7 to 10 days. The Dr says that usually the results don't change but there is a slight chance.

I am so relieved (sp). I have cleaned the kitchen, cleaned out the fridge, sorted the recycling, played games, and eaten 4 swiss cake rolls waiting for the call. I'm exhusted.

Oh, and last night 9 minutes after DH left for Houston, DS dislocated his elbow (with his sisters help). If I go to urgent care or the ER again I get my own parking space. This time I only got steak knives. DS didn't cry except when it first happened. I thought he had popped it back into place. No luck on that one. All is well now.

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. They really do help. To all that have asked for them, I have given them but never posted it. I will from now on.

Happy Thoughts to all,
