yoga

Curious to know this also - guess we might be doing our sun salutations and cobra poses all by ourselves? I'll be on the 5/15/05 4 day if you need a partner....

Not sure about the Wonder but they do offer Yoga classes on the Magic. These were originally offered at no charge but while on my last sailing on the Magic (May 1st, 2004) I noted that they now have a $10.00 per class fee.

In my personal opinion, this new fee should not have been implemented. Are they going to charge for the Fitness Room next? $15.00 for 30 minutes on the treadmill?!

Heck, I'll be up on deck practicing by myself anyway - the more the merrier! It should be free- just like all the shows!:)

I know there was an early morning beach yoga class on Castaway Cay on the 3-night Wonder cruise. I believe there was yoga on board as well. They had not instituted any fees yet when we were on at the end of April. I didn't partake but should have. I injured my knee after the cruise and haven't been to my regular class in a month. I will definitely take at least 1 class on the next cruise. J'ai :)

I agree Jason!! But there was a post about this in another thread. They were saying they think they put the charge in place because people were signing up for the classes and not showing up. So while the class was fully booked, there was room.

I would think they should just make it first come first server. That way if you are hung over from the night before, you don't have to go to class.

Joe--

I guess that does make sense. But, like you said, perhaps they should have just made it "first come, first serve."

They implemented a new fee for High Tea ($5.00) as well. But, I think this was lllooooonnnnggg overdue and very much needed. I've been to High Tea where only two or three tables were being used!

I jsut started yoga about a month ago and go to probably about 3-4 classes weekly...I LOVE IT!
I am very happy to see that they have it on the ship...I'm no wheres close to doing sun salutations...but cobra, tree, and mountain are right up my alley! Who knows...maybe by then I'll be up to speed with everyone!!!
*happy dance*

I wasn't sure what type of yoga would be offered on-board so I'm planning to bring my personal CD player, my favorite yoga CDs and my sticky mat. Good thing yoga doesn't take up a lot of space. I figure if I can do it in a teeny European hotel room, I can manage in a cat. 8 stateroom. I've been practicing for years and I don't think I could go a whole week without sun salutations complete with chaturanga dandasana!

Namaste

Is there a fee for all fitness classes? HOw do you sign up? When is the fitness room open?
