YOAMD Surprise!

So I just spoke w/ a friend of mine who got back yesterday from her 2nd trip ever (that I helped her plan ). She, DH, DS and DD were set to stay at ASMovies, got there to check in and were told that as part of the YOAMD they had a special surprise for them. They loaded them and their luggage up in a van and were taken to the Poly where they stayed instead! She said her kids (5 & 8) were estatic, this being their first trip...and they were welcomed at the door by Lilo and Stitch.
Talk about a big shock! I was so happy for her...I know they had been saving for a long time and really wanted to make this trip special.

Anyway, just thought I'd share her story with you guys.

Thats's a great upgrade! My DS6 would go loopy to have Stitch meet him at the door. That's a really neat YOAMD wish!

That is so wonderful for them! I would love to experience something like that but I'm not counting on it. I will just be very happy to be in WDW and feel lucky if I get to see any dreams being rewarded

That is sooooo great!!! As much as I want to get some kind of prize its really nice when you hear it goes to some families that don't get to go that much. We go 2-3 times a year , so we are pretty lucky already. I am beyond excited for your friend and hope we hear about more magical moments from other disers real soon!!!

What they didn't tell was that, as a special treat, the guests who actually had the ressies for that Poly room were carted-up and moved by Checker Cab to the Kissimmee Budget Minders Motor-Hostel with a scenic view of the "Stick 'Em Up Glue-works" factory (if you stood on a chair in the shower) for 3 nights and 5 days.
Including unlimited use of the pool (if they can keep it inflated).

WOW! Oh my gosh ... WOW! That is so wonderful.

Only bad thing is - now your friend will only want to go back to the Poly! It sure is addicting. What a wonderful resort.

I'm so excited to go to WDW this month. I'm not going to expect a thing - but boy would a sprinkling of pixie dust be nice!
