Well, MY day was interesting. We have BATS in our new house :scared1: Last night the kids heard some squealing in family room at the peak of the house where the biggest log support is. I thought maybe it was just the ceiling fan. Then this morning near the window was something that looked like mouse droppings. :headache: We had some 60 mph winds come through last night and I was hoping maybe the wind got up there and just blew some "old" stuff in. WRONG.

My mom and stepdad, and dad and stepmom were all over this afternoon to see the new house. We are showing them around the first floor when my oldest started SCREAMING "there's a BAT in my room". So everyone runs upstairs and sure enough, there is a dead bat lying on her bedroom floor. We think maybe the cat killed it last night while we were sleeping and was bringing it out to show us her "kill".

On top of that....our dog found a pile of CRAP outside and decided it would be fun to roll around in it !!

I am so ready to go to bed and put this day behind me. I have to be up at 3:30am tomorrow morning so we can be at the school by 4:15 and get on the buses. After stopping at the Flight 93 memorial and Gettysburg we should be at our hotel tomorrow night by 10:00. I'm have my laptop with me ;)

Wow Shannone, yuck doesn't even justify that. Do they have local bat removal service in your area? I know down here in Florida, the people that remove bats go all over the country. Apparently it is not an easy job to get them to stay out because of the scent markings. I wish you well. If you can't find someone up there, let me know with a pm and I can give you the number of the experts down here.

I did a whole bunch of nothing this weekend and loved it. (Took DS to a birthday party, but other than that, nothin') Now, DH is off for two days and work begins tomorrow. (DH gets to watch DS) Tomorrow is finding out why the golf cart trailer has a flat and why I have a vibration with my brand spanking new tires on my jeep at 52mph. Oh, and I have to remake my mickey lamp globes.

We took out our new TT this weekend for the first time. We went to the beach. Had a great time. But man I am tired. My parent came down and stayed with us. On the way home they had a blow out so they called triple A. They where told it would be 3 hrs before someone would be there. So me and the DW turned around and changed there tire man it was HOT.

That is just too cute! :thumbsup2

Sorry about your day Shannone..sounds like the new house is driving you "batty"! :rotfl2: Sorry..couldn't resist. Hope the hubby has the bat situation cleared up by the time you get back from your trip..have a great time. ;)

I know this isn't funny, Shannone---- but all I could think about was the squirrel in the Christmas tree in Christmas Vacation.

Where's Cousin Eddie when you need him?? Doesn't he eat this kind of stuff???

I must really be punchy for some reason tonight (and I haven't had any alcohol since the MDGG). All I picked up on was Jen asking "Why she had a vibration with her spanking" Care to answer Chris???

My sister had what she thought was a bat in her attic, come to find out it was over 100 bats :scared1:

Good luck on clearing up that problem, it's illegal to kill them here, and she could not get them to leave for nothing, first you have to find where they are coming in and out of....your going to have a problem for a long while, sorry about that, it's horrible and scary. :scared1:

[You need to get the pooped cleaned by a professional and get rid of them quickly....the feces carries a deadly disease!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I don't mean to scare the bejeezes out of you but I found this out when my son was working at a camp and had to sweep a lot of it from a gym that had been closed up over winter and they had gotten in...please be careful. Mask and gloves have to be worn,,,even the "dust" from the dried feces can be dangerous!!!!!!!!!!

You could make it look like they died of "natural" causes. Or maybe stage a mass suicide?:confused3 :rotfl2: Whatever course of action you choose I hope it works out swiftly and smoothly for you. Good luck.
