ok guys, i'm super sorry for the lack of updating... the last few days got REALLY busy!

I'm leaving to go back to MN tomorrow morningThis vacation went by WAY too fast (but don't they all???) but i have to get everything packed up.... including my trusty laptop so i can't do an official update tonight...


However, I will update the MOMENT i get settled back at home. It will probably be sometime late tomorrow night or sunday.

FINALLY..........

i have a minute to sit down and update!!!


So hold on, this could be a WILD ride!!!

ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone woke up and boarded the bus by 8:30am. We ate breakfast at the hotel so we didnt have to waste time at the park!

We arrived just a few minutes past 9:00 and decided to take a couple of the famous tourist pictures...

after that we RAN to Everest!!! Ok, we didnt RUN but we walked very quickly! Everest is my FAVORITE!!!! The stand by line was only 10 minutes, so we grabbed a fast pass and stood in the stand by line!

And away we go!

Have I mentioned before how much I love Everest?!? Because I do, i really do Love everest!!! And i was super glad that i grabbed the fastpasses so i could ride it again!

But once we got off the 1st time we still had about 45 minutes to wait, so we walked over to Dinoland. We were practically melting and we stopped to get a cold drink and struck up a conversation with one of the CMs. I was talking to her about the college program and she said it's a MUST do... (well, duh!)...

I don't like the dinosaur ride. I don't like being in the dark and having things jump out at me but my parents and sister wanted to go on it for the 1st time and so i tagged along. I warned them that it's dark and things jump out at you and you're basicaly thrown from one side of the car to the other, but they still wanted to try it, and after it was over none of them liked it....

good! I'll never have to go on it again! fine with me!!!


then we head back to everest! I love the fast pass system. and everest. we didnt even wait 5 minutes for everest using the fast pass!! that's the way i like it!!!

by that time, we were dripping with sweat and decided to go to the rainforest cafe for lunch!

With no reservations we only had to wait 5 minutes!!!

I have never ate there before and it was AWESOME!!!! I had the cherry slushie for my drink and it came with a toy. lol....

i had the burger and fries for my meal and the family split the brownie eathquake for dessert! OMGosh it was the BEST dessert i have EVER had!!!!!!!!


but we were hot, tired and full after that so we head back to the resort for a break and decided to hit up MGM in the evening..... so that will be my next report!!!!

off to the grandmas house now...have a magical day everyone!!

Wow, sounds like you had a blast! Yeah, it's kind of hot lately down here in Florida. ^^; Especially when you're in a park walking around alot directly in the sun. Haha. I live about 45 minutes from Disney and I go to downtown Disney occasionally. (Not Disney World or any of the other parks lately because I don't have enough money right now. ) But either way, my mother is getting me season park hoppers or something like that. : but anyways, yeah. Glad you had a great time... and I noticed at the beginning you said you wanted to work for Disney? I'm probably going to end up doing that myself. ^^ I'll probably apply for Disney Cruise Lines though. First off, I'm going to Disney's College for two years. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

That lunch with the astronauts sounds really interesting. My dad would love doing something like that as he is a space nerd!

DVC is the best thing my parents EVER purchased!!! And Saratoga is such a beautiful resort!!!I've stayed at Old Key West too, but i didnt think it was as nice! THe lunch with the astronaut was cool. They had good food... mac n' cheese, chicken w/ mushroom sauce, rice, mini corn dogs and excellent chocolate cake. It was in a big room with about 200 others and people got to ask him questions and he would do his best to answer.... it was super cute because one little kid really wanted to ask him: "How do you protect your teeth when you are in space" It was cute just because it was so honest and because he really wanted to know!! My dad is the space 'nerd' in the family and he was STOKED!!! i didnt care one way or the other if we did it, but how many people can say they were there for the LAUNCH!!! I guess it was cool!!! But more about the launch later!!

Go and have a great time! I will be looking forward to the completed trip report when you have time to post...thanks for what you have done so far! It has gotten me even more excited about our trip in 38 days!!!

Your trip is coming up so fast, and i am SO jealous!!! I would give anything to go back. On the plane ride home i kept saying ' well, i never got to do that, or that, or this, or that thing at that place...".... I'm sure we all know the feeling! I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation!

It was my pleasure! Isn't it funny how planning a Disney vacation can be just as exciting as being there??? At least that's how it is for me! The second i start planning I get all excited because im thinking of all i'll get to do and see!!! And saratoga rooms are stunning!!!

I agree 110%. I could deal with the money.... the heat... the SCREAMING babies on the bus/plane.... but leaving.... nu-uh! no way. And thanks for the safe trip home wishes! It went smooth as a babies bottom... lol, do people ever use that saying anymore?!?

Haha, the ONLY reason i go to Disney as often as i do is because my parents still pay for me to go!!! If i lived 45 minutes away i would not be able to afford it either!!! And i really didnt mind the heat. I'm from minneapolis and there have been a few days this summer where it has been hotter here than in Orlando. I met a couple people on the bus to Epcot and they had this idea in their head that MN is ALWAYS cold.

.....not quite! The summers are HOT HOT HOT and the winters are warming up!


And... i would LOVE to work on a Disney Cruise!!! OMGosh that would be so much fun!!! I love cruising. I've been on both the magic and wonder and liked it more than going to the parks! I wish you the best of luck aking that happen!!! But honestly, if i was workign with DIsney i'd be happy doing anything that i could make someone's day a little happier.... I'd LOVE to work for the year of a million dreams team... how awesome would that be?!?!?

Ok this very well might be my last update... we'll see how it goes.

note: i have very few pictures for this update. It just got so hot out when we were there, and i knew i'd be back there sometime soon and i just stopped caring.

I know, I know... how could i do such a thing, right??? Well.... when your hot, tired, hungry, and just pretty much want to shower and shower again, going in your bag, digging through stuff and finding your camera to take the same picture you already have 5 of isn't on the top of my priorities.


***another note::: Looks like photobucket is being difficult and it won't load my pics. I'll work on that and post just the pics when it starts working... for now this will be an all-text update!

Anyway...

MGM-

THis is our least favorite park so we went only for a couple hours at night time. We knew fast passes would be out (we arrive around 6:30pm) and we only really cared to do RnRc (everything else would just be a bonus!) so we get there and the line is an hour and a half... that was expected. I had such a headache that night and so i was crabby. But i didnt want to miss it.... well... that night my family dicovered SINGLE RIDER LINES!!!



We didnt want to wait an hour and a half and we didnt really care if we sat next to each other or not, so we gave the single rider lines a whirl. We were boarded about 20 minutes later. It was AWESOME! the one thing i don't like about it is that is there wasnt a spot that i saw to store your bags, so i tried to wrap my bag around my feet, but it didnt work too well so i just put both feet on each side of my bag...

well... about 1/2 way through the ride we go upside down and my feet come up and i feel my bag slip to the side. I look over at the lady sitting next to me and she looks at me and says " don't worry i feel it, it's still here!!"

so we get off the ride and my headache was even worse. so i popped a couple advil and walked around with my mom while my sister and dad went on ToT. My mom and I came across the great movie ride and we had both never been on it before so we gave that a try.

It was cute, something where i could sit in the air conditioning, but not something i will probably do again. I hadn't even seen most of the movies they talked about on that.

Then we were going to do the animation tour but it was 8:15 so we ran over to fantasmic which had a time of 9:00 to start and when we got there it was standing room only. By that time my sister and dad were with us and my sister was crabby, i was crabby everyone was hot and tired and no one wanted to stand so we just left. It was sort of a miserable night. We all pretty much got to the resort, took showers and went to bed.

The next day

This day was the shuttle day!!

We had tickets to eat lunch with a past astronaut and i believe his name was john mcbride. that was at 2 pm. It was interesting. There were probably about 200 people eating with us and he did his best to answer everyones questions. The food was decent. They had mac n'cheese, mini corndogs, rice, salad, and chicken with mushroom sauce. For dessert they had chocolate cake.

the lunch lasted about 45 minutes and after that we did some shopping around. that didnt last long though and the only other thing that there was left to do was sit and wait for the launch.

It was so hot that day. but we found a spot right under a tree to sit, so we had a little shade. The launch went up right on time and it was so cool to watch! Everyone partisipated in the countdown and cheered when we saw it go up over the tree tops!!

After is launched, people fled to their cars.

Now it only took us about 45 minutes to get to kennedy space center. But to get back to the resort it took us FOUR HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After we left the center it took us an hour and a half to get 10 miles.

It was INSANE.

We all had to use the bathroom, so we stopped at a 7-11 and they only had one bathroom... their mens was out of order and there was such a long line!!!

*oh, and side note, when you're tired, hungry, hot.... the palm trees along that stretch of rode... ( i think it was maybe hwy 518 or something like that) look scary. I was already kind of loopey from being in the sun all day and it looked like a palm tree was going to eat me alive... i dont know WHAT i was thinking.... but that's how out of it i was!

And that was that day....

I couldn't believe how fast the 2 days had gone, but the next day i was headed back to epcot and i was going to blast off on my own and try out mission space!!!!

But i think i'm going to end this update now. I'll post more tomorrow!!!

I've heard that Blake's CD is planned for sometime in November. Phil Stacey said he's planning to release his next April.
