SO we scratched our plans to go to AK today, which makes me feel even worse...

Thanks so much for the pixiedust and good wishes for the flight! I've been on a lot of flights over the course of my life, but now a days, you just never know what will happen. It's such a shame that you even think about what could happen, but I made it, and the pixie dust helped=)

Oh you guys will have a blast! The check in staff at SSR said they arent expected to get reain for another 3-4 days here, but it had rained the last 3-4 days in a row before we arrived. Looks like we had just missed out!!! You'll have to keep us posted on your trip, too!!! I know i'll sure be in my post Disney slump=)

YAY! You made it safe and sound! Have fun at AK tomorrow! My husband can't wait to ride EE! It was under construction when we were there in '05.

EE is SOOOO much fun! I'm totally bummed that im not feeling 100% today, otherwise i would get my tush over to AK pronto and ride EE!!!! You guys will love it!
I'm tryin' to post as much as i can, but it probably wont be much good until I hit the parks.... you guys will just have to bear with me a couple more days!

I have never been on a cruise before. This is going to be my first one. It is a mother/daughter trip and we are both really excited about it. It is still a year and a half away and it feels as though it will never get here, it is agony!
I love all things Disney as well so when we decided to do a cruise we knew it had to be a Disney cruise

Can't wait to see all your lovely pictures of the resort and DTD!

Alright, guys! Here goes nothin!!

Day 1...

I woke up REALLLY early. I'm talkin' 4am kind of early. In reality, everyone was getting up around 5, but i really dont like fighting people for the bathroom, so i took it upon my self to drag my rear out of bed at FOUR!!!!

After lots of rushing around we head for the airport. Check in took about 3 minutes, and security took about 5=) I guess that's one of the perks of going right away in the morning!!!

Once we arrived at our gate we had to wait for about an hour and a half... here's a pic of our gate...

all together now, oooooooooo aaahhhhhhhhhhh

About 20 minutes before we started boarding, our plane decided it would grace us with our presence! Isn't it beautiful?!?! Heck i would think a garbage truck was beautiful if it was taking me to DISNEY!!!

We eventually get the call to start boarding and get an announcment that we got the ok to take off BEFORE air force one! (Because President Bush KNOWS what delaying our plane would do to me!!! haha).... but then about 10 minutes later we get an announcement saying that we would be delayed 10 minutes because airforce one picked up speed and was about ready to land.

*** Remember previously i mentioned how the President was coming to MPLS to assess the 35 W bridge collapse*****

Well we had a really nice take off and flew right over the mall of america! My mom brought our portable DVD player on board, and boooyyyy did that help make the time go quicker!!! But once that was done my sister and I started to get bored... so we took some self portraits! here's a few of our favorites,

This is popping our ears because of the alitude changes...

And this is getting sick of all the RAPID altitde changes...

Then we eventually got so bored we just fell asleep...

ANNNNYWAY!!!

We ARRIVED AT MCO right on time. The flight was scheduled to get there at 1:05 and we touched down EXACTLY at 1:05 according to my clock and you cant get much more perfect than that!!!

So we head down to baggage claim... (why we didn't take MME is beyond me)... but airtran was having issues and we had to wait AN HOUR to get our luggage. But, i guess it was better than having to wait 3 hours if you flew in from Boston... airtran lost their luggage.

Then we needed to head down and pick up our rental Truck. that was uneventful so i wont bore you with the details. haha.

We arrive at SSR about 10 minutes after that to SSR and only had to wait about 3 minutes to check in. We were put in room 4721 in the paddocks section, but we couldnt mingle long in our room b/c i had made 4:45 ressies at planet hollywood!

The busses were taking FOREVER to come and get us, so we decided just to take our rental over and park there. I was kinda dissapointed to see that Planet Hollywoods outter exterior was being refirbished, but i was always told not to judge a book by it's cover!!!!

OMG I LOVED IT!

our waitor: Vince, was SOOOOOOO incredible. He was from MN and so we automatially had something in common! I had the Chicken Alfredo for dinner and the double brownie something or other for desert with a pink lemonade. It was all delicious! But when my mom and dad got the final bill their expression was more like this:

Then we called it a day at DTD (because we were exhausted, and went to SSR giftshop. Here's just a COUPLE pics. I'll take more throughout the stay!

And i think that's about it, we came back to the room, unpacked, and called it a night.

Looks like fun already. I hope you feel better though. We were there last Thanksgiving and on day 2 myself, my three sons, and my neice all got a horrible stomach virus. It was awful. I don't know how my husband escaped it, but thank goodness because he needed to take care of all of us. I hope your sickness doesn't last your whole vacation like ours did! Anyway, it just means we get a do over in October! Stay well and have fun...

Isn't it strange how an entire family can get a sickness except for one person?!? That happened to my family about 7 or 8 Christmas' ago! My poor mother had to take care of my dad, my sister and myself. But thanks to you as well for the nice get well wishes!

We had a wonderful flight, thank you!!! It was smooth and extremley uneventful, which is just the way i like it! When we checked in, the lady said that Disney had just had about 4 days of almost solid rain! But we arent expecting any rain for a couple more days, so that makes me pretty happy!
I'm sorry you had icky weather though. Last october I was here and we had upper 90s with upper 90s for humidty. It was MISERABLE!!! but wouldnt you know it, the day we left started a week of low-mid 70s and sunny??? Go figure, right!!

Update:

I FEEL SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!! Thank you all again so much for the get well wishes! You guys are so sweet!!!

My family decided to give Ak a try this afternoon! Baaaadddd idea. lol. We decided to go around noon, and boy was it HOT and crowded!!! I had FINALLY convinced my dad to go on EE with me so we ran straight there... ok more like walked fast, to grab a fast pass and the fast pass time return wasnt until FIVE THIRTY!!!!!!! It was almost the same exact story for every other ride there. The wait for Kali was an hour and a half, dinosaur was 70 minutes.... it was awful.

Now, before you all say 'you should have known...' ........... i did. I knew what we were getting into. But we wanted to at least do SOMETHING today.

We only lasted about an hour. lol.

BUT i did pick up a photopass card!!!

Tomorrow we are going to Epcot right away in the morning doing future world and then taking a break... and then going back tomorrow night and doing world showcase. We've been there a few times so we know the stuff we MUST see again and the stuff we can skip this time!!! (ie: we are heading STRAIGHT for soarin!!)

No, i don't go to St. Cloud State. One of my friends does and I got the shirt so i can wear it when i visit her! haha. You'll be eventually seeing me in U of M shirts too, but i got those just cuz i like the gophers lol.

I DO go to normandale community college though. lol... i don't have any shirts from there. And you would love DVC!!! We sure love ours!!! I've have never EVER slept as good as i do when i'm here. EVER!

Thanks, I'm feeling so much better!!! And i'll tell you what i'll do... my mom took a whole bunch of pictures of our room. I will post a seperate posting with our room pics for you! You can also google Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and take little tours of the room under one of the 1st few options that come up! But i'll post the pics for you regardless!!!

Haha, I'm glad you like the pictures! My sister and I can be goofs, that's for sure. We have our moments. lol... especially when we are bored! And i was healthy as a horse (whatever that means) for my trip to epcot!!!!!!!! I'll post my review in a little bit! I've still got some pics to finish loading!!!
