Instructional Technology, in the way this program presents it, is basically the theory and practice of presenting data to people. Usually in a teaching setting, but also in basic presentations or web design. They actually have enough classes specifically geared toward web design that you can do an entire track on nothing but web design, which is pretty much what I'm doing. They also have a more traditional component that is the K-12 group and using technology in the classroom.
Basically, the way I'm approaching the program is how can I better present data to my "customers" using the web. This is going to include digital photography, digital video (we think), web graphics, flash animation, using authorware or a similar program to create computer based training courses, and a couple of theory courses on how do people typically process the data we see and how to present data in such a way as to make it more memorable and easier to use.
