He turned 4 yesterday, but came home Friday from preschool and announced (finally!) that "I don't LIKE baby diapers anymore!!"

I didn't think this kid was ever going to be potty trained, and we've (I've?) been working on it quite awhile. Guess he decided he was ready!

And as an aside...DAMN, those little underoos are cute!! :)

Zanesmama,

I was absolutely convinced that my DS was going to graduate from high school wearing adult diapers. ;) What a relief for you, I really think some kids just want no part of it until they are READY with a capital R!

And yes, those little underroos are super cute!

Congrats--start putting away what you spent on diapers a week towards the next trip to WDW!!!!

Great feeling isn't it!

My twin dds were almost 4 before they were trained, so I was dreading training their younger sister. We were at WDW when she was just 3, and out of the blue she says, "I have to go potty." Hadn't been working on it, but I took her seriously, and I took her. She went, and that was that! Princess panties from that day forward, no accidents.

Great! Now you'll have some extra WDW money from the diaper savings. :)

Woohoo! Liberation!!!
That's the Best summation of the situation, imo!!! ;) :) :smooth:

Congrats!! :bounce:

Liberation is right!! I think I'll take his diaper savings and convert it into Disney Dollars for his souvenirs. That backpack just got so much lighter! :)

The best part is not having to carry around a diaper bag everywhere you go. I remember when DD was trained and we could just put her in the car and GO. No packing required :)
