My soon to be kindergartener was with us today at the Barber. His brother was getting his school haircut. Well as we are waiting we meet a dad and his son. Chatting and it turns out the boys are in the same class. Now why this is huge to my son is that the only people we knew in the class are girls. All his neighborhood friends are in the other class. (there are only 2 classes)
So he was so happy to meet someone that liked Transformers and Legos just like he does!
And I was so happy too. THERE IS A BOY IN THAT CLASS!! not that there is anything wrong with girls- he would have loved that- but I well... you know ...... just wanted him to have a buddy.

Good for him, and you:thumbsup2 I only have girls, but I know what you mean, there has been the one boy throught her daycare years that was only boy at all the girl parties, it was too funny except when the girls couldn't understand why they couldn't invite him from sleepovers.

That's great!!!! I taught a Prek class 2 years ago that had all girls and 1 boy. Fortunately for him his twin sister was with him. We ended up moving some "older" 3 yr old boys to my class to try to even things out.

I hope your son has a great school year!!!:thumbsup2

Yay! It's always nice to know your child has a friend when going into a new situation. Excellent!
