YIPEE!!! I'm finally at the Boardwalk!!!

Day 3 Continued. Cape May Clam Bake was very nice!! I've never seen so many steamers, mussles or crab legs!!! I was like a kid in a candy store!! :rotfl: Speaking of which the desserts were outrageous!!! I'm glad I went to DTD afterwards to walk! And spend money I didn't intend on spending!!! Ladies - have you seen the WDW Dooney & Bourke Bag Collection????? There a thread totally dedicated to the bags here on the boards; under Theme Parks I think. Anyway, one is coming home with me.:confused3:confused3 I'm weak; what can I say! Early night; I'm tired!! LOL....waiting for Illuminations Firworks now. GREAT view from my room. I'll try and take pic's but my camera is too slow; may come out blurry. We'll see.... Ok..I hear the fireworks!! Have a great night everyone; see you tomorrow!!!

I just had DD *hint* to DH that I want the mini brown D&B bag for Hanukkah. :thumbsup2

Hi Camille!! Aren't you "here" also this week??? Don't you love these bags?? I've had my eyes on them for awhile but it wasn't until I actually saw them that I lost control! LOL...that tote was amazing but in WDW I either don't carry any sort of bag or it's a cross body like the one I picked up yesterday. Well let's hope DH takes hints and you get your bag!! ;)

I'm over by the Stadium in Concourse Village. Where are you??

i'm in throgs neck. not exactly next door but certainly closer than most disboarders!

i got one of the little D&B wristlet thingies for my anniversary in june and i really like it. i'm using it in place of a wallet. i do wish it had little compartments for change and credit cards but hey, i still like it!

have you seen the booth in epcot for cork? dh and i were there in sept right before F&W opened and we were wondering what kind of irish cuisine they would be serving. being irish and having been to ireland to visit family a bunch of times we don't think "our" cuisine is the best! lol!

I love the wristlet's but I need a little more space for things like glasses!! Between the wallet, cell, camera and glasses the Letter Carrier is great.

I stopped at Ireland for dessert; Hot Lava Cake with Bailey's Cream in the center...To Die For!! I'm eating around the world tomorrow; I'll let you know what else they have.

Day 4 - I'm tired!!! Had plans today with my nephew and his girl. She's a Cast Member and it was her birthday. I didn't sleep well at all last nightand found myself up at 4:30! :confused3 Anyway, I was "slow" this morning and to kill some time I went into the Studio's then met up with them at 12:00 at Villa Napoli in Epcot. All I can say is "WOW"...what a nice restaurant!! Absolutely loved the pizza's and the calamari was excellent. The restaurant is very rustic and loved the open area where they make the pizza's and other italian dishes. Service was fantastic; very attentive. Then after a nice lunch, we went into Future World to hit Test Track, Mission Space and actually got on Soarin again!!! Back towards WS had to have a Margarita then we just walked and talked and had a fantastic time. We drove back to the resort to park so I could give her a gift I had for her and later we found our selves over at Beaches and Cream. OMG...I had this Brownie Sundae thing....well let's say I'm glad I only do this a couple times a year.

So now it's 10:45 and everyone has gone home. I really needed a nice hot soak in that lovely zacuzzi tub. Great; get in, turn it on and now it's time to get out and IT WON'T SHUT OFF!!! OK...THIS ISN'T GOOD!! I finally have to call Engineering and told the CM "I have a little problem" explaining what's going on and she sends someone up. Finally before they get here, I get the thing to shut off but they changed the "starter" cause it did get stuck on them. So now it's 11:22 and I think I can finally call it a day!! :rotfl:

Day 5 - Just two more days and my wonderful vacation is over. But it's not that time yet so here we go!!! Up early for MK Early Entry...yes this is still my downfall. Getting on all my fav rides before the crowds hit the turnstiles! :) So time to make some well needed coffee and hit the road!! :rotfl: Speaking of coffee, I had breakfast yesterday at Kuzzina's (hope I spelled it right) and while I was a fan of Spoodles I'm sad to say this place leaves me cold. I've eaten there on more than one occasion and I noticed immediately yesterday that they have gone to the smaller "conventional" mugs; no more "colorful oversized" ones left over from Spoodles. They were using them last year when DH and I had breakfast there and I must say I missed them. Oh well...it's a sign of the times I guess. Ok....gotta run!!:cool1:

Sounds like your having a great time, I'm so jealous, a SOLO trip, good for you!!! DH and I are leaving Monday bright and early for BWV, I can't wait:cool1:
Have fun at the MK today:banana:

Linda,

This is making me so excited for my upcoming trip in a little over two weeks! I will tell you that when I was on a solo trip in May, I purchased the tassel D & B purse and just love it. I can't tell you how many compliments I get on a daily basis. "Where did you get that?!!?!?" Enjoy the rest of your wonderful vacation. :goodvibes

Hi Cee!! You'll be here soon!!! I absolutely love my D&B Bag!! I saw the purse you bought; it's really beatiful!! I can get everything I must carry around with me perfectly in this one and this is now my "official WDW bag"! LOL...

Day 5 continued - well MK was a blast!! Had a light breakfast at the Bakery on Main street and proceeded to stroll over to Splash Mountain. It was closed; maintance issues so I went over to Pirates again. Road that and was heading over to the Haunted Mansion when I saw that Splash was running. Literally walked right on and was seated in the last row. Great I thought!! I won't get too wet!!! WRONG!!! I got DRENCHED...I felt like I had wet diapers on and my hair looked as if I just stepped out of the shower!!! LOL...in all of the years I've been riding that, this is the wettest I've ever been!! I was so wet, I had to leave. I was uncomfortable and today isn't that hot so I would have not dried for awhile. So I took the bus back and got wet again in the pool!!! LOL...might as well get as much pool time in as I can since I go home Saturday. :sad1: I really can't complain though. This has been one of the best solo trips I've had.
Tonight...my food orgy around the World!!! Later!!

Okay missy,

I have a mission for you.

I just found out that a caramel shop recently opened in Germany. Could you check it out and tell us what you think of the desserts? (I'm not into Werther's and apparently it's theirs but desserts.......:rolleyes1)

Thanks for the updates - I'm loving them.

Ok Lisaviolet - this is for YOU!!! I did get to the Werther's. They have alot of items to choose from. Caramel Apples are big there; some with nuts, chocolate chips or just caramel. I believe they were $3.95 (not cheap). Also they had fudge, cookies with caramel inside, Rice Krispy Treats with caramel or caramel and chocolate, cupcakes with caramel drizzled all over, strawberries with caramel and chocolate, little tiny pastry's of all sorts. In other words LOTS OF GOODIES!! I remember seeing lots of $3.95 for prices in the showcase. I personally picked up a Rice Krispy with Caramel and Chocolate for tomorrow but had some sort of almond cookie with caramel inside; OMG!!! It was out of this world!! I had to refridgerate before I could eat it but I'll let you know how it was. Oh and the place smelled amazing when you walked in!! :rotfl:

Day 5 end - Well I ate around the world tonight!! LOL...started out in France; had to have Escargots which are a favorite of mine. Then on to Belgium for Steamed Mussles and Roasted Garlic Cream. Sampled some Sushi in Japan (Spicy Tuna) and I think it was probably some of the best I've had. Stopped in Germany to check out the Caramel Shop and had to get a Rice Krispy Treat with Caramel and Chocolate for tomorrow. Then on to South Korea for Barbecue Short Rib with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi and Lettuce Wraps with Roast Pork and Kimchi Slaw. EXCELLENT!!! By now I'm really getting full but needed to have something sweet so I headed to Ireland for Hot Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Iresh Cream Ganache...OMG I wanted two!! LOL..and I got another one!!!:rotfl: God willing tomorrow (my ole knees and hip are screaming at me tonight for all the walking I've done) I'm going to try and get back for Godiva Choclate Iced Coffee at Belgium and Greece for Spanakopita and any others that tickle my fancy.

I met a lovely couple on the boat coming home tonight; Mike and Brenda I believe were their names. I appologize if I have the names wrong; the boat was noisy and my memory is like a sieve these days. She was a travel agent for Disney and they were both very nice folks; the kind of people you just know you'd be friends with if you lived here in Florida. You know, there's something special about people who love "Disney". I think we're a breed apart from all others. I said earlier that this was one of the best solo trips I've had and I sincerely mean that. I've met such lovely people; people that I'll probably never see again. Yet they've left such a nice impression on me that I'll never forget them. Well their faces maybe; names can't promise anything. :rotfl: My trip is almost over and I already feel that "Disney sadness" coming. You all know that feeling; the feeling you get as soon as you walk out of the resort. The feeling that compels you to begin planning the next trip as soon as you get home. That feeling that keeps you coming here to the DIS Board.

But it's not over yet my friends...I still have tomorrow!!! Good night all...thanks for sharing my trip with me. See you tomorrow.:wave2:

First of all, thanks so much Linda! :woohoo:. Fine work. Ah the smell.

Me - I'm all for plain. We have those apples with *everything* here at one of our stores. But I ADORE caramel only on my apples if I'm going to spruce them up.

But I'm always down for cupcakes. :lmao: Too much so. On my last trip I did the dining plan (chose QSDP this time) for only the second time. First years ago on free dining. Well the snacks almost killed me. Got oranges and other fruit but that didn't buffer me at all :rotfl2: - I stalked the Pop Century cupcakes and I was staying at AKV. :rotfl: I said in my TR that I was definitely stoned on cupcakes. It got very very ugly.

Can't wait. It will quite the fight with the Toberlone and Caramel shop. I guess I better work on park passes. I haven't had park passes for four years :rolleyes1 Not by choice!

Day 5 end - Well I ate around the world tonight!! LOL...started out in France; had to have Escargots Yum! which are a favorite of mine. Then on to Belgium for Steamed Mussles ummm yum.and Roasted Garlic Cream. Sampled some Sushi in Japan. Yum yum. And how I deleted the biggest yum of all? Korean short ribs. Oh Lord take me know. How I adore them. I LOVE Korean barbeque. I had no idea that booth was there. And kimchi - adore - they say kimchi can kill many viruses. :lmao:

But it's not over yet my friends...I still have tomorrow!!! Good night all...thanks for sharing my trip with me. See you tomorrow.:wave2:

That's right - it's not over until it's over. :thumbsup2 In fact, I've got in the habit of not making the last day the black sheep of the vacation. Last time I swam at Kidani until the very last moment - ran back to Jambo - changed my clothes in the washroom and got on ME with wet hair.:laughing:

That's right - it's not over until it's over. :thumbsup2 :

Absolutely!! I'm sitting here now with my coffee deciding what I want to do. Yesterday I had myself convinced that a pool morning was in order then hit a park. Who knows??? But whatever I do it will be fun. :thumbsup2

Day 6 - the Final Day - Well I know one thing; I slept fantastically last night!! Sure; the next to last sleep in WDW and it had to be the best! :lmao: Not sure what I'm doing yet today. I'm playing with the idea of hitting the MK for last visit then coming back to the pool. Tonight I'll stay close and either head for DTD or EPCOT for one more trip around the World "minus" all the food!

I very much enjoyed reading your trip report. I did one partial solo trip but felt very self-conscious the whole time. I think it was because I was there on business rather than pleasure so felt guilty whenever I 'escaped' to a park.

Have a great time today.

AHhhhhhhhh, I wish I was back at our favourite resort. Sounds like your having the greatest time.

Hope as your trip winds down it is as magical as all the other days pixiedust:

I'm sure it will be & have very much enjoyed your daily reports !

Even though it's sad when a trip to the World is done, it does help to

know that soon it'll be time for the next one !
:goodvibes
