YIPEE!!! I'm finally at the Boardwalk!!!

After countless posts and nights of not sleeping I'm finally in my "Happy Place". LOL...I never thought those last few days would pass. So here we go.....

Day 1 - arrived at the resort about 10:45 AM . Picked up my Welcome Package at the On-Line Check-In Desk and I have to say, other than many "Welcome Home" greetings it really wasn't that much shorter than regular check-in. And....my room was not ready. I won't bore you with the details but I finally got the room close to 4PM. Ok...here I am; again in the same room series that DH and I were in back in June of 2009! It's the very last room on the Boardwalk all the way down by Jelly Rolls!!!!! Room 2001. Ok...not my first choice but it was clean, fully renovated and looked great!!! No internet service......but that was fixed this morning when a Tech actually had to come here and swap out the modem. Unpaked, freshened up and headed to Epcot to check things out. It was crowded...long lines at the food boths, but then again it was Sunday. Didn't eat anything there cause I met up with some friends at Wolfgang Pucks Cafe and had a very nice dinner. I do plan on going back a few times for my "food orgy" before this trip is over!! After dinner we walked around and I then excused myself cause I was tired!!! Insomia hit me mid week due to all the excitememt and I guess by 11:30 I was in bed drifting into "Never Never Land".

Day 2 - got up failry early made my coffee and watched the sun rise over the Boardwalk. Beaufitul....Headed into the MK and walked in around 9:20 and found the park not to be bad at all. Walked on Buzz, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and the Pirates before heading over to the Emporium for some shopping. Went and picked up my ticket for tonights MNSSHP then headed to the Bus for the resort. I was so looking forward to chilling at the pool and for 3 hours that's exactly what I did. Not sure what I'm doing yet for dinner; I'll just follow my feet!! See you all later!!

Am so jealous. I wish we could go "home" too. However, we will be at AKL and POR in December. I need to figure out a time to visit during our trip. I must spend a few minutes on the "back porch" while I'm there.

Take good care of our beloved BWV, Mrs. WDW. We check out tomorrow (Tuesday) and are spending this evening washing, packing and a quick trip to Illuminations. We are on second floor also and have had an excellent view of Wishes and Hallow Wishes every night. Hope you enjoy MNSSHP as much as we did. F&W lines have been shorter earlier in the day and during the weekdays. Have a fabulous trip!

Still Day 2 - I just got in from MNSSHP and it was fantastic. I've decided that the "Gravediggers" and "Ghost Dancers" are my favorites!! And the weather is just fantastic. Nice and cool but not to where you need a jacket.

mtmbyck - yes; I am alone. This is a "Mommy Only Trip"! I do this every October.

bobbi - I can't begin to tell you how relaxed I felt after spending that time at the pool. I may just do it again tomorrow!! Hahaha...I better do it while I can. Once back in NY there isn't any pool! LOL..

Jean - I promise to take care of your beloved BWV. Safe trip home tomorrow!

I think we must have just missed you this morning at MK. We had a 9:25 ADR at Crystal Palace, to which we were late, but then we wandered around the shops of Main Street too.

The mommy only thing started about 5 years ago when a friend of mine had to back out of a short trip. It was our first F&W Trip but she had to work or something. So I was really bummed; DH couldn't go and I was about to cancel everything when DH said "you know Disney like the back of your hand; why don't you go alone?" And that was the beginning of a wonderful tradition. Mind you, I have no little children to worry about; well maybe except DH but he's pretty self-sufficent.

Day 3 - I'm not particulary fond of this internet service at the BW. Twice now I've had this note done and twice this browser has "quit" on me.

Ok...once again....Headed into Epcot for Early Entry and "ran" through WS as fast as "these arthritic kees and hip" would allow!! I was determined to ride Soarin this time. Last trip I never quite made it; too long of a wait or no fast passes left. Well I got there and there was only a 15 minute wait and I was very pleased with that!! Oh I love that attraction; I think it has become a favorite. Now I want to check out the milder version of Mission Space so I head over there. I pass the Character Spot as was "drawn" into the pavillion where I had my picture taken with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. I guess some of us just never grow up!! So NOW over to Mission Space I go and I enjoyed this version MUCH, MUCH more than the original. Went into the Festival Welcome Center and did some shopping; great things! And not all of them are in the gift booths in the WS! I loved that Tote, got a T for DH, and I fell in love with this Salsa and Chip dish which I had shipped. If I tried to put that in the luggage I definately would have been overweight!! Already have too much for the carry on NOW!! Then slowly made my way back to the resort for the pool!! And now I'm here sharing this with you all and tonight dinner is over at the Cape May Cafe. I've never been to the clam bake so I'm really looking forward to that. More later!!

I just found out that a caramel shop recently opened in Germany. I only enter Germany for Toberlone but now have a second reason. Did you see it? If not, if you have the time, could you check it out and tell us what you think of the desserts? (I'm not into Werther's and apparently it's theirs but desserts.......)

I just found out that a caramel shop recently opened in Germany. I only enter Germany for Toberlone but now have a second reason. Did you see it? If not, if you have the time, could you check it out and tell us what you think of the desserts? (I'm not into Werther's and apparently it's theirs but desserts.......)

I actually thought it was less crowded than last year. And when I went last year it was NOT a holiday weekend. One thing I found out; here in Florida Columbus Day is not really a big deal. Kids are in school and it's not celebrated like it is say in the East.

Day 3 Continued. Cape May Clam Bake was very nice!! I've never seen so many steamers, mussles or crab legs!!! I was like a kid in a candy store!! Speaking of which the desserts were outrageous!!! I'm glad I went to DTD afterwards to walk! And spend money I didn't intend on spending!!! Ladies - have you seen the WDW Dooney & Bourke Bag Collection????? There a thread totally dedicated to the bags here on the boards; under Theme Parks I think. Anyway, one is coming home with me. I'm weak; what can I say! Early night; I'm tired!! LOL....waiting for Illuminations Firworks now. GREAT view from my room. I'll try and take pic's but my camera is too slow; may come out blurry. We'll see.... Ok..I hear the fireworks!! Have a great night everyone; see you tomorrow!!!
