YIPEE!!! Got our passports in the mail today!!

Went to the PO on March 4th and got them today, March 28th!!

The only problem I have is the picture..LOL..

The four of us applied for our passports on March 5th. We received two on Saturday and one today. Our DS15's passport application was rejected because he did not sign the form. The form we had filled out only required signatures if they were age 16 and older. We were sent a new application that required signatures when they are 14 and older. Now we have to wait until Saturday to submit his new application and wait another 3 weeks. We still have plenty of time until our July 2005 West Coast cruise, but I was hoping it would be one less thing to worry about.

I went to the county clerks office on March 7th and also got mine in the mail today

And I also have issues with the picture.

Goodness, I could have written Pooh's post line for line. We also applied on the fourth and recieved our passports today. I thought our pictures looked strangely different than the ones we submitted. Dh explained that the face recognition software used for passports doesn't care about fine details as much as facial structure for ID purposes. For what it's worth, that might explain the pictures. Oh, and they told us not to smile. That's always flattering. NOT.

We leave here in 10 days, so it's a big relief to have these passports in hand now.

You can print an application off the state dept. website so you can have it all filled out before you get to the office. We also got the photos ahead of time - just thought that was easier.
It will tell you everything you need to bring and the special requirements for a minor childs' passport.

Received my DD (5) passport on March 25th after applying on March 4th.
Applied my DD (9) on the March 8th (last day before $ 12 increase) and
hopefully will be getting soon. Now we can also go to Disneyland Paris
on the spur of the moment if I win a contest.
