Yikes! The Disney planning dvd hosts....

I got the Disney dvd planning dvd. My kids love it. The only problem is now they want to meet Erin, Dave, Luke & Stacy when we go to WDW in August.
I'd tried telling them they are just actors. But, my DD is convinced they work at Disney. Yes, Dave plays Tarzan on the weekend.
Whats worse is that I collect autographs and now they want me to write to them for an autograph.

I know what you mean. My son can't wait to meet them either.
I have told him several times that they were only there to make the video. He looks and me and smiles and nods. He thinks I'm the one that doesn't know what's going on.
I will never hear the end of it if he sees someone he thinks is on the video. So now when we are watching the DVD and he asks, I tell him, "Well, you never know. Everyone needs a vacation."

DH and I can't get enough of that video! It makes us feel like we're sitting in our room watching in-house TV! Especially DH, he loved Krissa and that video reminded him of her show! LOL, my 25 year old husband would make us watch Krissa over and over and over and over...I could QUOTE that show!!

I know I am going to keep telling my kids they are actors. And then we get there and see Erin taking reservations at Chef Mickey.

My DDs 16 and 14 are MADLY in LOVE with Luke!!! They watch it over and over just to see him.

We've watched it so often lately that my DD 12 who is 12 has begun to find Luke very annoying. We just don't know any kids who talk and move like he does!!

Let's just say that the hosts were, typical Disney sales....a bit on the side of overacters. Nothing wrong with it, it's what continues to help sale the trips, but Luke was annoying.

I actually had Gabby to ask me if we could watch it the other day. I was floored. She usually thinks that all my planning is over the top. Suddenly, she is becoming interested in all of this stuff. I hope she isn't coming down with anything. lol Maggie

I remember that the individual that does the MousePod podcast talked about Erin and the other actors - yes they are professional actors. Someone that listens to the Mousepod sent a letter to Erin and she responded with a very nice, personal letter; and was very flattered.

Google Mousepod and send Jesse (Mousepod) a request for contact info. He may have it. Good luck.

I noticed and wondered the same. I agree that Dave is pretty funny.

My DD3 loves that planning DVD. She asks to see it everyday sometimes more than once a day. She actually wants to get on the thrill rides. I'm hoping when we go she can ride most of them-- right now she measures 41" tall.

erin was on an Applebees commercial before the DVD came out. Remember the one with the elderly lady that wants the young neighbor girl to come in for a "bite to eat" but she can't because she has to go to work at Applebees? That's her

Oh my....I HATE that DVD! It is SO geared for teens only and so obnoxious!! It doesn't give me the happy, magical, FAMILY type feeling older Disney planning videos have. It's loud and in your face and if I didn't know any better, I would assume DisneyWorld was one big teeny bopper party house.

Anyone have 'A Day at the Magic Kingdom' video? It follows a mom, dad, son, and daughter around on a day in the Kingdom (hence the clever title <G>). That video is soooo nice (altho extremely outdated).

I only watched that Partridge Family DVD once.

Not only could I not stand the hosts (except for the bench guy, he was reasonably tollerable), but the graphics on the entire video were so 1972 Partridge Family bell-bottom retro that i put the video away and never touched it after I had seen the whole thing only once.

The whole DVD seems geared only toward the 10-13 That's So Raven crowd.
