Wow, was I the only one scared when they saw the prices for the beginning of March Break!!!!

I usually travel in the off seasons so those prices just about gave me a heart attack. Unless they come down we will be driving to Port Canaveral.

Who has flown SW during March break?? If I can ask what have you usually paid for flights???

Thanks

Kim

I am not sure what dates you are looking for, SWA only goes to the end of the first week in March. The flights I am seeing are $89.00 each way, they usually come down to at least $69.00 from what I have experienced and most of the time down to $59.00. I would wait, or if you want, book at the higher price and then change it when the DINGS start to come out.

Not for March 7th......BUF to MCO...only refundable avail....$242 or something like that each way. Unless they just changed the price.

I would jump at even $89 each way....

Air Tran still has some fares at $141, but they did not even open any of the $89 webfares. Out of Toronto though it is over $900 return, so it is still much cheaper than flying from Toronto. I guess with Easter so early, you are seeing the high Easter fares for March spring break.

SW fares are out of this world compared to when they opened up last September for March break. We flew from Detroit nonstop for $45.00 or $117.00 including taxes return.

Hi,
We logged in as soon as tickets became available and the cheapest were $165 + tax any day in March from the 1st to the 7th, they are very expensive this year for many reasons, no fuel deal for Southwest and the demand exceeds the supply for seats.
Good Luck to everyone trying to book flights!!!!!!!!!!

For March break or Christmas travel, you basically have to book 11 months prior to departure to get a reasonable rate.

If you can, leave a few days early or return a few days later - avoid the craziness at the airports.

I just priced this out for March, total coming to 209.20, which I would think should come down. I see that the days to fly at those cheaper rates are mon, tues, wed, thur, sat. Unfortunately SW won't let you book past that Friday yet, but you could book one way and then get the other when it comes out.

When the SW flights for post-March 7th open up, please post!!!

We are going from March 9 to the 16th this year and am afraid of paying thru the nose.

Thanks in advance!

They just opened up to the end of the first week in March. Last year I booked for the following April around November 19th or so, so the dates I would assume would be around the same time frame this year. I would start watching the beginning of November or so.

Thansk for all the input.

We want to fly March 7 - 15th but can go in a day early if we have too. I will wait a bit before I book.

I also have a flight booked down to MCO in Jan, and I had to wait to book the flight home till the new dates come out. I have noticed if you book one way (on my dates anyways) it is much more expensive then if you book a round trip??? Haven't noticed that in the past.
