Another vote here for Kona Cafe at the Poly! I know what you mean about feeling spoiled and not wanting to go back to your own resort. We can only afford value resorts right now, but at least this way, visiting the other resorts we get a little taste (literally!) of what it would be like to stay deluxe!
Although I enjoyed the food at the Plaza restaurant (the tomato soup on the kids menu is awesome!!!), we found the service on our last visit in April to be somewhat lacking...we felt rushed and that the waitress didn't want to be there, not very friendly. Prices there seem to be a little on the high side for what you are getting too, and particularly because we weren't on the
ddp this time around, it stung a little when the bill came.
