 I thought I was prepared until I realized I need to make one more TS ADR for a night we will be in MK. I am looking for ideas. We already have CRT and Crystal Palace inside MK. The only other thing is that it not be a character meal or buffet as we already have 3.

Thanks! :flower3:

How about the Plaza? They have great soup, salads and sandwiches. Kids meals are among my favorites - chicken on a stick, tomato soup, and very good ice cream desserts for all!

You can try Tony's Town Square, it serves pasta and other Italian food or the Plaza Restaurant which serves sandwiches and burgers. I like Tony's better but it's not the greatest. You could always hop on the monorail and go to one of the resort restaurants like Kona Cafe at Poly(awsome) or the Concourse Steak House.

:thumbsup2 That was my next thought to maybe go to a nearby hotel for dinner. I have been dying to see inside the Poly but then I am afraid it will be painful to go back to the POR. ;)

WDW's Plaza doesn't serve fried chicken? Disneyland's does so I assumed WDW's did too. I just realized after posting that my choices are quite limited. A good kid's meal is a bonus for sure! :)

We went to Kona while staying at ASMO and it was no trouble. If you're already in MK, take the monorail or the boat to the Poly (we chose the boat, it was pretty cool and fast!). Same thing on the way back. You can hop on the monorail to the MK and get your bus to POR there. In our case, it was EMH night at MK so after dinner we went back in the park for a few rides, fireworks & spectro!

ETA : DUH I'm so dumb, I thought you meant "painful" as in complicated to go back to your resort. I really need to stop posting here first thing in the morning!

Another vote here for Kona Cafe at the Poly! I know what you mean about feeling spoiled and not wanting to go back to your own resort. We can only afford value resorts right now, but at least this way, visiting the other resorts we get a little taste (literally!) of what it would be like to stay deluxe!

Although I enjoyed the food at the Plaza restaurant (the tomato soup on the kids menu is awesome!!!), we found the service on our last visit in April to be somewhat lacking...we felt rushed and that the waitress didn't want to be there, not very friendly. Prices there seem to be a little on the high side for what you are getting too, and particularly because we weren't on the ddp this time around, it stung a little when the bill came.

Go Kona! (or if you are looking for biggest food bang you can really chow down at 'Ohana although it is more of a time commitment if you're into the entertainment). We had one of our best meals at Kona on a 10 day trip last year!

:rotfl: No worries, it does sound like I meant physically painful. Thanks for the input. I am afraid if I enter the Poly they will have to pry my moderate staying hands off of the 70's looking Aloha sign. If I ever have the money, I am so staying there!

The Plaza menu looks okay but the Poly one looks pretty yummy! :thumbsup2 Buying .05 tomato soup for $5 would sting. ;)

Even more Poly temptation. I am going to call dining tomorrow and see if there is anything available for our night. Wish me luck and pixiedust:

I vote Ohana's as well. Its great late you can watch Wishes from there and they pipe in the music too.
