I booked Rose and Crown for 8pm on Jan 9th so that we were all set for the 9pm Illuminations. I just saw today hours are changed for Epcot and it is closing at 8pm, meaning Illuminations starts at 8!
Don't the restaurants shut down by then??
I haven't had a call from Disney dining about it, but am just wondering what will happen?
My secured Illuminations dinner now is out the window! Grrrrrrr.

Well I can't say specifically for R&C but I have eaten in both Tokyo Dining and Bistro de Paris while Illuminations was going on. They're not going to kick you out. :) Plus, EMH will be going on, so it's not like the park is closing completely. Can you get a table where you can watch Illuminations?

1) You can still eat at 8:00pm.
2) But, do not expect to get a table.
3) Everyone else will want to stay at their own table.
4) They may or may not allow you to stand on the patio.

You can get reservations at park closing time, so you'll be fine keeping that reservation. Just go knowing that you may not get seated until the place clears out after IllumiNations, or you get seated in a spot where you can't see anything.
